About this house rental
Beautiful & Enjoyable Estate! Hot Tub! Large Home in a Great, Sunny Location!
5,450 sq. ft.; 3 bedrooms; 2 additional sleeping areas, 3.5 bathrooms on 3 acres. This is a superb design with gorgeous, timeless finishing materials. The home is tastefully appointed with elegant, contemporary, warm, comfortable, fun, and versatile décor.
The Primary suite is on the main floor, with an en-suite Primary Bathroom equipped with both a shower and a deep, relaxing bathtub. An additional half-bath is also found on the main floor.
The remaining sleeping areas are upstairs. Two of the bedrooms are equipped with a Queen sized bed each, another sleeping area is equipped with 2 Twin beds, and the remaining sleeping area is equipped with a Queen sized bed plus a single Twin bunk. There are also two full bathrooms on the second floor of the home, ensuring plenty of privacy for the whole group.
The large, open kitchen will provide easy and comfortable meal times while enjoying the vast view of San Juan Valley. The tall windows overlooking the valley gives you a feeling of enjoying your own private resort. Guests can take their pick of multiple cozy areas to relax in. The main living room is equipped with a beautiful fireplace and comfortable furniture. The media room is set up for relaxing and family fun! Curl up and watch a movie together or challenge someone to a game of foosball or table shuffleboard.
The wonderful features of this home do not end a stroll across the wide, green, lawn to check out the newly lined large pond. Enjoy your own, private, swimmable waterfront. This house also provides a plethora of outside yard games including: volleyball, bocce ball, a peddle boat for the pond, fun floaties, and zipline.
Warm yourself up in the hot tub after a refreshing pond swim! You could saturate yourself in a San Juan Island adventure without ever leaving the property; the activities are endless. The home is within walking distance to town, airport, hospital, etc. In the evening, curl up in one of the many cozy seating arrangements and take in a breathtaking sunset. You’ll love staying here with the whole family!
This home does not have Air Conditioning. Portable fans are provided in each bedroom closet.

Fire pits are not usable from May 1st-September 30th due to dry season and fire danger on San Juan Island.

This was a beautiful, well appointed property that had everything we needed and more. Immaculately clean when we arrived and very comfortable. The hot tub and pond zipline were a blast and we had the good fortune of having of talented piano player in our group who was able to take advantage of the baby grand in the living room. Walkable (on the longer end if with younger kids/older adults) to town at Friday Harbor. Photos do not do the property justice - exceeded (already high) expectations in every way. We hope to return!

My wife and I travelled to the San Juan’s with her parents because we had heard such wonderful things about the area. We were not disappointed in the location generally or the house. The home is walking distance to Friday and a great base to explore from. Whale watching and excursions around San Juan and Orcas islands were fantastic.
We were disappointed in the overall maintenance, mostly outside. Let me put it this way, my mother-in-law spent more of our vacation time cleaning POOP from windows, chairs, and decks than we anticipated. We understand that birds can’t be controlled, but we did expect the entrances into the house would be poop free and the back yard that is so prominent in the promotional picture would be useable. The dock, boats, fire pit, zip line, and sitting area, and back yard generally were in horrible condition. The area hadn’t been mowed in quite a while and there was goose poop all over the place. Other birds added their contributions to the decks, chairs, and walkways. The pond was so overgrown with whatever was growing in there that no one wanted to touch the water. The zip line was broken (but because we didn’t want to get in the water, we wouldn’t have used it anyway) and the boats were dirty with plenty of old water sitting in them.
The cleaners were still there when we checked in at 4pm because the previous guests had apparently made such a mess of the place, including the hot tub. They worked hard to get the hot tub in working order, and was ready for our use on the second night. They also had someone mowing the front lawn on our 2nd to last day, so maybe we happened to rent the place at an unfortunate time before landscape maintenance could be completed.
To end on a high note, we still enjoyed the spacious home with a fun game room and a tremendous view of the valley and distant hills. We all agreed that we would stay here again, but would request full maintenance be completed prior to our
