About this villa rental
Enjoy space for the whole family at Casa Dos Palmas, an oceanfront Akumal villa with a private garden swimming pool, multiple terraces, and a practical two-level bedroom layout.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor and three upstairs. Four bedrooms face the Caribbean and open to private terraces, while the fifth overlooks the garden and jungle.
Three bedrooms have private bathrooms. The fourth and fifth bedrooms share a bathroom, making that part of the upper floor particularly convenient for a family with children or teenagers.
Every bedroom has air conditioning and a Smart TV. The common living areas are not air conditioned.
Outside, the garden-side pool offers a private place to cool off, while the oceanfront terraces and rooftop give your group several different spaces to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings.

The private swimming pool sits on the garden side of Casa Dos Palmas, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by tropical greenery.
On the ocean side, private bedroom terraces and outdoor areas take advantage of the Caribbean setting. The rooftop terrace provides another gathering space with elevated views.
A charcoal grill is available for casual meals at home.

Casa Dos Palmas is set directly along the Caribbean in Akumal, with beaches, restaurants, snorkeling, shops, and local activities nearby.
The shoreline immediately in front of the villa is rocky rather than a traditional sandy swimming beach. A sandy beach is approximately a five-minute walk away.
Akumal is also well positioned for day trips to Tulum, cenotes, eco-parks, Maya ruins, and other Riviera Maya attractions.

Our stay at Casa Dos Palmas in Akumal, Mexico was absolutely incredible—truly a 5-star experience from start to finish.We traveled as a group of four adults and three children, and one of the biggest highlights of our trip was Hugo and Eunice, who prepared both breakfast and dinner for our family and friends throughout spring break. The food was consistently amazing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs—especially the kids. By the end of the trip, they honestly felt like part of our family.The home itself is stunning—beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. Every bedroom having AC made a huge difference, and the airflow throughout the main living area kept everything feeling cool and fresh. The fact that all the rooms face the ocean made it even more special.We especially loved the pool area in the back of the house, which stays shaded until early afternoon—a lifesaver in the heat and perfect for relaxing during the hottest part of the day.Another unexpected highlight for the kids was the yard, which was full of hermit crabs and iguanas. They had so much fun gently chasing and catching them, and of course always releasing them right after—it became a daily adventure they looked forward to.While the beach directly in front of the house wasn’t really swimmable due to being very rocky, and the nearby town beaches were also filled with sargassum seaweed during our stay, Scott, the host, was incredibly helpful and attentive. The same beach can be accessed for free if you enter from the beach side near the house, but if you enter from the town side, there is a $7 per person access fee.We spent most of our time enjoying the house, but we did venture out a couple of afternoons—to the beach and to a nearby monkey sanctuary, which I highly recommend visiting.Despite the seaweed conditions, this was one of those tr

We had a fabulous visit at Casa Dos Palmas. The home is comfortable, beautiful and quiet. The views and landscaping are gorgeous. The chef prepares sumptuous meals which are served gracefully. The caretaking is fantastic. One can find sun or shade at all times. A lovely stroll into "town" and the lovely sandy beach. Such a relaxing and beautiful way to spend a week!

What can I say? We wouldn't keep coming back if this weren't one of our favorite houses in Akumal. You can't beat the price, location and fantastic staff (thank you Esther and Rigo.) The Sargassum grass is a bummer but you're going to find that all over the Maya Riviera right now. If I had to pick one advantage Casa Dos Palmas has over some of the other houses in North Akumal is the pool being in front and partially shaded. This gives you the chance to move around throughout the day and either avoid the wind or the sun given what's going on in the moment.If you're on the fence about going with Casa Dos Palmas or another house I strongly recommend choosing Casa Dos Palmas. You won't be disappointed.Brian R.
