Villa Can Boseta by SunVillas Mallorca

I haven’t stayed in such a welcoming place in a long time. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The villa was incredibly clean, and I really appreciated that the staff came in to change our towels during our 7-day stay. The pool was a highlight for me. The water was crystal clear and filtered every single day. You can tell they really care about maintenance because they were even regularly replacing the chlorine tablets. The villa was fully equipped and we truly had everything we needed. It’s a wonderful, friendly spot and I can’t recommend it enough!

Property was very spacious, plenty of seating areas. Swimming pool was a huge hit with grandchildren and adults alike. Garden is well secluded. Great location to shops and facilities.

Kitchen area was not as clean as would have been expected for £2700 pounds for a week. There was mess underneath the microwave in the kitchen. The kettle did not work as so I bought another kettle. This was not a lot as was able to pick a kettle up for 20 euro in the local supermarket but it is disappointing. The coffee peculator was leaking so we were unable to use this. There were 2 cafetières available however these were also a bit worse for wear. There were dishes which had not been cleaned properly before being put away and so we had to wash some dishes on arrival before being able to use. Air conditioning was great throughout the night however it is advertised that it also comes on in the afternoon from 2 pm until 4pm however this did not happen and so the villa did get very hot during the day. The villa is advertised as having a BBQ facility however there was not evidence of a BBQ that we could find which was a bit disappointing. The contract also claims for bookings of 7 days, simple cleaning would be conducted mid week with a towel change, there was no cleaning service - we were not too bothered by this however a towel change would have been welcome which did not happen. There were 8 of us staying at the villa however only 4 sunbeds made available. There were more within another area of the villa however this was locked and we did not have access to this area. Table tennis table was very dirty and dusty, it would have been nice if this had been clean. A great villa however it would be even better with a little TLC. On the one occasion I did need to call for help due to being unable to open the gate to leave the property, the telephone number was answered promptly and the owner arrived within minutes to offer support which was welcome. Owner was very helpful and pleasant.

The setting was fabulous, and the floral and fauna around the garden was beautiful. We all loved the pool and welcomed that it was deep enough at one side. Beds comfortable enough too.

Basic things like loo roll and cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and kitchen cleaner were not supplied and only enough for one day. Water pressure is awful, particularly in en-suite, which was unusable and had to use the main family bathroom. No bin bags and other kitchen fundamentals. Some cutlery not clean as well as glasses, etc. Dishwasher needs a good clean with finish clean, as nasty smell in there. Did not get the promised towel change for pool or bathrooms. We were here for 10 days, so it was not acceptable. We had to wash them ourselves to freshen. Ping pong was fun, but again, attention to cleaning needed. Area full of cobwebs and dusty table, not been cleaned. Needs better maintenance and TLC. Positives: lovely garden with lots of flowers attracting wildlife. Gorgeous setting. Loved the pool. Loved the main bedroom terrace. Great for star gazing, watching shooting stars. This villa could be amazing with better cleaning, a little better customer care/service, and improved property maintenance. A bit more flexibility over check-in and departure times would add to improved customer service.
