About this house rental
Time to make summer plans! Welcome to Hyde House, an exceptionally comfortable house surrounded by lawns and flowers. Centered on 24 private acres, near iconic Mount Chocorua, there is room for everybody. Designed by C. Howard Walker this historic home has been completely refurbished. Five bedrooms, three and half baths, a double living room, formal dining room and a bright, sunny country kitchen. Even a bonus sunroom/home office. WIFI throughout.
Relax and watch the humming birds from the spacious screened in porch. Play croquet on the front lawn. Tennis anyone? A hard court is right on the property.
Enjoy canoeing, kayaking or swimming at our private beach on Little Lake Chocorua 1/10th of a mile away. A sunny sandy beach for Tamworth residents and guests (you!) is close by. Children love it.
Visit the wildly popular Farmer's Market in the village of Tamworth on Saturday mornings with country music, home baked goodies and artisan cheese.
Hike Mount Chocorua, the trails start half a mile away.

Hyde house is a remarkably comfortable and luxurious place in which to spend your vacation. I stayed there with my three teenage sons two summers past and we were delighted with the house and its surroundings. The spacious, light-filled kitchen was a delightful place to relax with coffee in the morning. The large, screened in porch allowed us to sit in the evenings and enjoy the peacefulness of the property without the bother of insects. The bedrooms were all well furnished, and the access to Chocorua Lake was the icing on the cake. The boys spent so much time in the water, they swam the length of the lake! Highly recommended!
