Amadora Terrace View By Gt House

Amadora Terrace View is a nice apartment just outside the centre of Lisbon. Neighbourhood offers a few restaurants and bars and many supermarkets. Public transport to centre of Lisbon is easy. Apartment is on the top of a building with 2 elevators. But the place is old and needs maintenance. I booked for a week, because my partner had an operation in a hospital, so I stayed in the apartment a lot, as I worked from home. The Wi-Fi was good. I picked this place, because it had a large terrace. But, reading through the reviews, most of the issues mentioned in 2023 still have not been resolved... "No possibility of eating/sitting comfortably on the terrace as there is no furniture to do so!" When I asked the owner he claimed that it was still winter (end of April!), so he did not provide outdoor furniture... All week the weather was warm and sunny, but no furniture or shade. I told him I could keep it inside, in case of rain, but no response. (I got the feeling he had none) Indoor, the 3 dining chairs are wobbly and falling apart. It is still too dark inside and the dining table still has no light. The sofa has no side table, so we used the small cupboard instead. In the bedroom, one of the shutters no longer lifts and plants are growing out of it, so this is an old issue. Owner would mention this to his "maintenance team". No-one showed up! The kitchen is old, gas stove cooker hood needs to be plugged in to work because its normal closing system is broken. The gas stove does not properly ignite. Water kettle has a short lead, difficult to plug into a socket. This place could be very nice, but it is old and needs renovations. However, the apartment was clean, the bed was nice, the washing machine worked and a small heater warmed the place at night. The shower did not leak anymore, so it looked like some work was done in the bathroom recently.

The photo's were not accurate, especially the outdoor ones. Owner did not responded to complaints.

Me gustó todo, era súper grande y estaba en muy buen sitio. Era una zona de mucho tránsito pero se podía estar perfectamente. Y lo bueno que justo al lado tenía un parking económico ya que está en pleno centro y supermercados. Muy buena experiencia.

The flat was spacious, tastefully done with well appointed amenities. The terrace could have been a real charmer, but couldn’t enjoy it due to the weather.

A little more lights would have been welcome. The door lock needs a bit of servicing.

Lovely and open aspect because of the terrace, even though it's on a busy street. It is clean and has everything you need. Comfy bed station down the road and a fantastic restaurant just across the road.

No shade on the terrace so difficult to sit out if it's hot sun. But terrace is still a massive bonus in that area for the light and space.
