    The staff was really polite. However, the hotel policies should be changed. Checking out at 10am is way too early, also the breakfast didnt have much items

    Loved the design of the room. The staff did not speak English and we knew little Japanese but all went well because of their hospitality and friendliness. The shuttle to the train station was very convenient. Be prepared for huge, beautifully-presented meals.

    Our stay at Shimoda Bay Kuroshio was fantastic. The location was superb, offering breathtaking views. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the facilities were top-notch. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable and the room was exceptionally large, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff went out of their way for our dietary requirements on short notice which was amazing. I loved the architecture and design of this hotel and that in itself was worth the stay. I 100% recommend the Shimoda Bay Kuroshio, truly one of our best stays in Japan.
