About this apartment rental

This unique property, available for long-term rentals, is located in the heart of Barcelona's old city, just 50 meters from the Palau de la Música Catalana, 200 meters from Plaça Catalunya, and 300 meters from the Cathedral. Its privileged location allows walking access to the main attractions. The area is well connected and offers all necessary services.
The apartment is located in an old building that has not been renovated. It offers 160 m² of living space with 3.5-meter-high ceilings. It features a large open-plan main space of 85 m², a spacious entrance hall, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a study room.


Please note that the main floor is located in an old building which is equivalent to a second floor and no lift.

The kitchen is centered around a large work island. The cabinetry along the side wall integrates the fridge and freezer, and there is an industrial extractor hood. At the rear of the kitchen, there is a pantry and a washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of small appliances.
All exterior woodwork features triple-glazed thermo-acoustic windows.
The master bedroom includes a double bed; the second bedroom offers two single beds that can be adapted as needed. There are two slate-tiled bathrooms—one with a bathtub and the other with a shower.
The furnishings throughout the home are from well-known design brands. The floors preserve the original hydraulic tiles, while the bathrooms are finished in slate. The ceilings feature exposed wooden beams, except in the master bedroom where the original hand-painted designs have been preserved.
All historical elements have been maintained or restored, while modern additions in the kitchen, bathrooms, living, dining, and bedrooms create a harmonious balance of old and new.
The property is painted with ecological paint and includes high-speed internet, air conditioning, and gas heating with two independent circuits and thermostats: one for the open-plan main area and another for the bedrooms. The water circuit is equipped with anti-particle and anti-scale filters.

• The property is located in an old building, on a mezzanine level equivalent to a second floor, and there is no elevator.
• The master bedroom does not have a door.
• The wall between the two bathrooms does not reach the ceiling, so there is limited acoustic privacy

The location was very central for all the on-foot exploration we wanted to do in Barcelona. Our host was most responsive. Check in and checkout were easy.

Location was great. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. One drawback was the extensive outside street work that was very loud and noisy (6 days a week) for our 2 month stay, and it had a long way to go to being complete. Jack hammering, cutting granite blocks, forklifts, dumpsters being filled, etc. It will be beautiful when it's done. Other things to note: The walk up to second floor was fine, but there was a lot of foot traffic up and down the stairs at all hours of the night that was easily heard from the main bedroom. A takeout restaurant below was open until 2 am every night with a lot of patrons waiting outside for their food and talking and hanging out. The windows in the apartment were quite soundproof but that meant you had to keep them closed all the time to benefit from that. When we needed it, the air conditioning worked extremely well and was a welcome relief to the heat during our last few weeks in June. The apartment itself was really nice and spacious except for the things mentioned by others - no door on main bedroom and the two bathrooms open to each other over the top of the wall. We had a number of friends and family rotate staying with us, and we made it work because we were all very close and got along well. The host was very prompt in responding to any issue and the hookups for music and TV were welcome. Overall, we had a great time. It would have been nice to be aware of, and prepared for, the noise factors before we arrived.

My 5 weeks in Barcelona were a delight thanks to Tania and her beautiful apartment! The pictures are a true depiction of the property. It is a perfect mix of beautiful Spanish architecture and modern amenities. The kitchen is a dream with anything you could possibly need. It is not like most rentals with the bare minimum in appliances, glasses, dinnerware, etc. It has EVERYTHING! The coffee maker broke while I was there and Tania had one delivered the next day. The location is perfect within walking distance to everything. You can be to any sights, restaurants, shopping within a few minutes walking. The beaches are a 20 minute walk. Tania was there to greet me and explain how everything in the apartment worked and always answered my texts within a few minutes. She also had wonderful recommendations on restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend this place on your visit to Barcelona! Deb

This property was not a good fit for us. First and foremost, it was incredibly dark--even with all the lights on. There was no view of anything green from the windows, no trees and only a thin sliver of sky. Then there was the lack of privacy. The master bedroom had two entries but no doors, just a thin curtain on a rod. The two bathrooms, located back to back, were separated only by a half wall. When inside, you could hear everything happening in the other one (the back bathroom also had no mirror, just a tiny magnified one for shaving). We had wanted to have friends stay for the weekend but the lack of privacy prohibited this. In the kitchen, the knives were so dysfunctional as to be dangerous. When we were there, in September of 2022, the road outside our window was completely torn out and being worked on each day. We were not told this prior to our arrival, despite having booked two months in advance. Finally, the walk up to the apartment was grim, peeling paint and broken-down stairs.
