The living room leads onto a veranda with seating to enjoy the summer sun. Kingsdown Holiday Park has panoramic views over the English Channel with 36 acres of land to explore and enjoy. The park offers an indoor heated swimming pool which is free for guests to use, tennis courts, adventure playground, Wi-Fi, indoor games area plus a lounge on-site. Parking is available just 20 yards from the property.
Nearby attractions include Deal and Walmer Castles, both steeped in history. Deal also has a highly-acclaimed high street with many individual shops. Take a stroll along the sea front, sample the fish and chips and enjoy entertainment throughout the year at its famous bandstand. A little further afield is Margate with its renowned Turner Centre and Dreamland, and Broadstairs with Viking Bay plus plenty of golf courses to choose from. A day trip to Canterbury is a must with its dominant cathedral and city walls, boutique shops for a spot of retail therapy or sample the local ales in one of the many bars. The property is in a lovely holiday park and the surrounding area is great. The property itself is comfortable and fairly well equipped. The problem is that small changes could make it better. The tv is shocking, needs a new cable. I did contact the owner who said he would look in to it but this never happened. One of the mattresses in the twin room needs changing desperately, it completely sags in the middle and is not comfortable. There is also an electricity meter you have to feed £1 coins in to. Although not a big deal it does seem a little antiquated. Overall the property was clean and presentable but a lick of paint and a deep clean of cobwebs on the upper level would be an improvement.

We stayed for a week whilst in the area attending a family wedding. It was very quiet (but out of school holiday time) , we imagine it would be busy then. The site does not allow for car access to the chalets but trolleys for luggage are provided. The description said there was WiFi available in the site "lounge" however, this was not the case as it was closed, as was the clubhouse and therefore no entertainment. The chalet was OK, well equipped but the bedding on an unmade bed (which we did not use) was badly stained which was a bit off putting, we didn't dare inspect our made up beds! We had beautiful weather so spent little time in the chalet. It is quite a walk into Deal along the sea front so not feasible if you find walking difficult. Three local pubs are within walking distance, plus village shop. We would not go again as there was no wifi which is essential these days for banking etc.
