Sandy Beach makes the perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands – Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Loch Ness and the Highland capital of Inverness are just a short drive. Visit the historic Cawdor and Brodie Castles or the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. There is a wide selection of watersports and boat trips available along with many mountain bike trails, forest walks and, for the less energetic, perhaps fishing or birdwatching.
