Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy). Spent a great long weekend here. Cottage was lovely and cosy with great views of the sea. Really well equipped kitchen for cooking in however great places to eat a short walk away. Living room is lovely and cosy with the log burner and comfortable couches. Good supply of videos and books as well. Bedrooms were comfy and the shower over the bath had good pressure and lots of hot water available. Enclosed back and front garden which was great for the dog. Location is also ideal with under 10 min walk to the beach. Overall loved this cottage. Really nicely decorated and fresh throughout. Would love to stay again sometime.
