The property was lovely and well presented, but rather than a tiny sign in the hallway advising about parking, it might be better to include it in the listing. I missed the sign, but after parking outside the house, I had paid to rent, I was disturbed by a loud knocking at the front door, on answering I was greeted by a very rude and offensive local, who swore a lot at me and then told me he would have my vehicle vandalised by the local council estate kids as everybody there "hates the English"!! For that reason alone I would not recommend or visit this property again!!

Spotlessly clean, ideal for two mobile adults. Although bedroom is downstairs, the road is quiet. We unloaded then parked just around the corner - all fine. A view over the church and graveyard may not sound inviting but is so peaceful and you can eat at the breakfast bar with the French doors open onto the view should you wish! We had a lot of rain, but were able to enjoy reading in the lounge area. The sea is about a mile down the road and a nice evening stroll. We knew there were no shops/pubs etc and were happy with that - just marked as a 7 as that was the truth! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is a splendid little place, we really loved it when we arrived and it was an upside down apartment. There are of course lots of things we loved about this property, it was so homey and had such a quirky little vibe about it, we loved all the ducks, the seaside feel, the little touches that home has, the wine was v much appreciated and reading about what other visitors did and where they ate was great. Though not far from Pwllhelli on foot or in the car, amenities aren't far and with a walk, you don't have to pay for parking though mostly car parking is cheap. WE LOVED THE BATH and the bathroom was great, it was never cold in this property and that was a real big one up for us as I have a chronic illness which has flare ups in cold climates. We found that there was plenty of space for cases and bags on top of the wardrobes but there was even more room in the wardrobe itself and chest of drawers. The owners clearly have put a lot of thought into the place. There are things that could be improved such as the sofa's might need updating a bit as they could be lovely at first and then after a few hours, in the dark nights where you will be there a bit longer than in the summer, they could be a bit hard and uncomfy. The bed also was a little bit uncomfy, though we were okay for the week we were here. And there are lots of things to be aware of but not off putting, the parking a bit sketchy, you must park where designated by the owners as there is a little bit of ruckus with regs to the parking, all the neighbours speak in Welsh whether they can or cannot speak English will simply depend on where you park, though a few including the owner of the white house was pleasant enough to us and we had parked outside his house, you need tobe able to have some good maneuvering skills or a passenger that has some good guiding skills.

The cottage is well placed for exploring the area, however you really need a car as the village has no shop, pub or café. There seems to be some sort of parking war going on in the street, we were told in no uncertain terms NOT to park outside the cottage because someone over the road thinks it is their space. Perhaps the owners should negotiate a designated space somewhere. The other downside was a very patchy TV signal, and with no other amenities in the village, this could be a problem.
