It is the ideal base for a couple to explore this wonderful part of the country, mid-way between Lyme Regis to the west, and Weymouth and Portland to the east, taking in the scenic Chesil Beach and superb coastal scenery. You can enjoy some great coastal walking, fishing activities and fossil hunting, and on your return, wander into West Bay and soak up the seaside harbour and coastal atmosphere. Nearby you have the old rope and market town of Bridport with its markets, shops and restaurants, or visit the other smaller seaside resorts of Burton Bradstock, West Bexington, Eype and Charmouth to name a few. There are many places of interest to enjoy including Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens, Salwayash Vineyard, Dorchester with its many museums and much more to spend a great week in west Dorset.
