The historic cities of Edinburgh, Carlisle and cosmopolitan Glasgow are easily reached within an hour. Dumfries and Galloway boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches with many beautiful gardens to explore. Enjoy world-class mountain biking, walking routes, riding, fishing on the River Annan, 2 miles, and birdwatching all within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
