The village is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and is excellently situated for visiting the many attractions in the area. York with its Minster, museums and historic centre is just over half an hour away. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway runs from Pickering. Stately homes, castles, museums, the East Yorkshire coastal resorts and Dalby Forest are all within easy reach. Shops ¼ mile.
