This waterfront vacation rental is located on pastoral Vashon Island in Puget Sound. Kingfisher Cabin is only a short ferry ride away from Seattle, Tacoma or Southworth. The west-facing views of Quartermaster Harbor will delight as you lounge on the large deck, walk the beach or sit and read by the wood-burning stove.
The cedar plank cabin has a light-drenched living room with cathedral ceiling and skylight, an open kitchen and two queen bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, etc. Well suited to make your own elaborate dinners or simply reheat leftovers.

This is a gem of a place to spend time! Our visit included a lovely walk and mostly just hanging at the house. It rained a lot and that was lovely. The sounds, and the little seals happily flapping their tails in the water. The kitchen, well-equipped and well-stocked. Also, I sadly left some belongings behind and the host & family made this so easy to come and fetch. So, yes, a winner.

The location for this rental is excellent. I think the listing should stress more that there is a pathway that leads down to a beach below the cabin which at low tide has some fun beachcombing options. We found a Moon snail shell and there was scattered sea glass and other beach treasures to find. The view from the deck sets this rental apart from many others. There are not any services within walking distance of the rental and the main grocery is about an 18 minute drive away so it is important to bring all the ingredients for your meals with you. The host did provide coffee, condiments, and some sugar and spices. The host provides movies and games to keep teenagers and kids entertained. If you want peace and quiet and a scenic location, this is the rental for you allowing you to experience all that Vashon Island has to offer.

Perfect spot for a girls trip! We loved watching the birds and drinking cofee on the deck. Beds were comfy, and the layout of the house is really nice.

Beautiful cabin right on the water. WHAT A VIEW, with a great deck. Island life is awesome! This is a must do experience!!
