The main bedroom features a queen bed and a private ensuite half bathroom.

Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

The best part of this rental is its view! We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the vista. It took almost no time (less than 10 minutes) to be from our rental to the town of Grand Lake or to the entrance to RMNP. The rental was quiet and comfortable. It would not win an award for interior design, but it was comfortable to us. We are more concerned about comfort than looks. I do think that with the wonderful view, better balcony furniture would be a welcome addition. Again, we did fine, but I was disappointed in the balcony furniture. The chairs didn't match one another. I couldn't see over the railing if I sat in the Adirondack chair. But we were happy with the rental and would stay there again.

If I could describe the property in a phrase, I would say Half-baked. Things were rickety, shabby, and old or jerry-rigged and carelessly done. It needs work. It did not feel like someone took the care/time to make it comfortable for guests. Most B&Bs that I have rented really make guests feel at home by taking care of the property. That was not the case here. The rental property management was helpful and professional. The location was great.
