Amazing Rooftop Decks 1/2 block to Beach in Ocean Beach!

The two units were perfect for our family and we enjoyed Ocean Beach. The views shown in the pictures are not accurate though. We didn’t use the rooftop decks much because there was nothing to see up there.

Great location, had lots of fun‼️ The units could have been cleaner, lacks finer amenities.

Nice Liz was easy and quick to get ahold of when we had a questions. Things were taken care of in a timely manner. I would recommend the place to stay.

Stayed here w/ family for a wedding in San Diego. There were 7 adults. It was absolutely perfect. The units are comfortable, beds were great, decks were fun to have and the location was fantastic. The shared courtyard was delightful. We spent a lot of time there visiting and enjoying the place. Lots to do nearby from great food to an easy walk to the ocean.

Great communication from the property manager. Accurate listing. Can walk to beach, great restaurants close by, friendly neighbor. Would like to stay there again

Our group consisted of 3 adults and 4 teenagers. The houses worked out perfect for the two families with each family having their own space. However most of the time was spent outside on the rooftop or in the open space between the homes. The house is perfectly located one block from the beach in one direction and one block from the main street in the other direction. The kids were able to walk around enjoying the water, shopping and eating. There are so many food options you don't have to eat the same thing twice. The house was clean and spacious. The communication with the property team was responsive. One challenge was the small parking spaces, exacerbated by the cars parked along the alley or garbage cans. Get a smaller car or suv. Overall a great experience.

This place was in a great location. Close to beach and restaurants. We stayed in one unit and let the kids and grandkids stay in the other. We loved the place but we were a little upset with the pictures on the site. The pics are older and don’t show the big newer building that 100% blocks any view of the ocean. Other than that we loved the placed and will stay there again.

7-minute walk from the beach, beach has sand, grass, lifeguard, first aid station, pier, wheelchair accessible, 2 parking places, fully stocked kitchen, Boogie boards, BBQ upstairs and down stairs patios, a hose outside for rinsing, sleeps 11, A & B units each have 2 bedrooms, Unit A has 2 bathrooms and Unit B has one bathroom. Liz, the manager, is a dream to work with. She is knowledgeable, straight forward, clear in her directions and quick to respond to problems. Stores are within walking distance, we have been there 5 times. Thank you Rene

Renting of the property went very smoothly. The manager of the property was easy to reach and responsive. The property is actually two separate units with a common area that made it nice to lodge our family groups but still eat and mingle together in the common area. Having two kitchens was also a plus. Both units have rooftop access, tables, and chairs. You are in the heart of downtown OB, a block from the beach, a block from the weekly Wednesday street fair (they call it a farmers market but it’s really a street fair), and a couple blocks from the pier (we like to fish). The negatives: The tv’s use Google Chromecast. We are a pretty tech savvy group, but couldn’t get any of them to work. That could actually be a blessing, but with kids, it might have been handy. We really didn’t miss the tv. Wi-fi was sketchy in some areas of the property. Slight problem of roaming ants in the front unit. Didn’t bother us much. There is a can of raid under the kitchen sink. The dishwasher broke down halfway through our stay. The manager promptly got a technician out to fix it, but it needed parts that had to be ordered. So we did without for the remainder of the stay. All in all, we would definitely stay at this property again in the future. We had a wonderful time. Communications with the manager were excellent.

This VRBO was a lovely central location in Ocean Beach with a roof top deck. We were a block from the beach and close to the pier, restaurants, Breweries, Vine Tasting and shops. The two units were joined by a large patio. Liz was a helpful property manager and was available to us. We would love to rent to this Rental.

This was a very well equipped and comfortable place. The rooftop decks were fantastic.

We traveled with our kids and their partners, all in their mid-older 20s, and they stayed in the back space and my husband, sister and me stayed in the front space. It was great. Fully stocked kitchens and plenty of linens and towels and super clean in both spaces. A courtyard with tables & chairs is between the spaces, so we regularly met there to work on a puzzle or share a meal. There is also an AWESOME upstairs balcony with tables and chairs which is great for evening snacks and a drink. A one-car garage and one extra parking space are behind the location, and the rental is only12 minutes from San Diego International Airport. The rental is located directly under the airport's departing flight path, so plenty of airplane noise between 6am - 11pm (no flights take off after 11-11:30pm due to noise curfew, so a quiet night's sleep is guaranteed). Only a minute's walk from the beach! This rental is located on Ocean Beach, populated mainly by 20-30 somethings, with plenty of restaurants and shopping and ice cream, which the younger set really enjoyed. San Diego and its attractions are between 15-20 minutes away, and the Tijuana Mexican border is 35-40 minutes south, but bring your passport if you want to visit Mexico! All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Well appointed overall, a list of directions on the WiFi and tv would have been helpful and tv never worked on the back house.

It has been three years since we last rented this property and we were so happy to be back! You cannot beat the location because you are steps from the beach and Newport Avenue.

I rented this duplex for my son's high school graduation for 4 adults and 4 teens/young adults (15, 18, 19, 20). The set up was exactly what we needed. We had an "adult house" and a "kid house", but most of our time was spent on the roof top patio. There were a bunch of chairs and a couple of tables with umbrella's for shade. They also have lights that we used nightly on the patio. We could see the Sea World fireworks from the top every night, but sadly there is no beach/ocean view from the patio. The kitchen in the front house was fantastic! It had a great stove cook top where we made most meals and all eat on the patio or hanging in the small spaces of the living area of the front house served as our young kids area when we had more guest as it has the TV, sitting areas and the wifi. It was a great place for us to all have our own spaces and for us to entertain outdoors to celebrate my son's graduation! The place is close to everything so if you have two cars or less, it's great! You can park at the house and walk anywhere you want to go, including iconic San Diego restaurants like Hodads and OB Noodle House. We even walked for several of us to get tattoos. Liz and her team were extremely responsive for the couple of needs we had while we were there. There are two cons to this place: 1) It is right under the flight path of the SD airport- thankfully it is not a 24 hour airport. If you're a light sleeper this may not be your place 2) Parking for more than two cars. If you plan on having people visit or more than 2 rental cars, it's tough to find parking, especially midday when everyone is at the beach. It's doable, it just requires patience adn time. I would highly recommend this place due to the great hospitality, the fantastic location, and the perfect weather San Diego offers!

Easy to work with the manager!

I specifically chose this place assuming that there would be a beach view but due to adjacent building constructed, it just looks like a regular house. This property is divided in two different houses and they are not connected. Wifi is located only in the first house. Second house has very congested rooms and bathrooms. The manager doesn't respond to the queries. I would say its not worth the price,

A block or so from the beach, this is in a great location! It was great being so close to all the action. Had a wonderful family dinner in the courtyard. Enjoyed the rooftop lounge area. Thank you for having us.

I can’t say enough great things about this property or Liz. She was very responsive, and communication was 10/10! The property is literally steps from the beach and all of the local bars, restaurants and shops. My family and I come to OB twice a year with our dogs so a dog friendly home is a must. This property fit us perfectly and Liz was more than accommodating to our needs. I will rent this property again and again if it is available.
