This was such a wonderful way for us to visit friends and family in Encinitas. The beach house was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had all the amenities you could need for beach fun and backyard get-togethers! We really enjoyed our time in Leucadia. Will definitely be coming back to Encinitas AND this house.

This is the second time we have stayed at this townhome and we love it. It is perfect for our family and is very comfortable with close proximity to the beach and a few restaurants. We are cyclists so we also enjoyed riding into downtown Encinitas. We hope to come back again!

My friends and I were invited to a wedding in Vista and wanted to find somewhere to stay that was near the venue as well as other tourist attractions in Oceanside and San Diego. Myself and my partner as well as another couple stayed here. We each had a big room with its own personal bathroom which made everyone feel comfortable in their own space and much better than cramping into hotel rooms. There were some normal house spiders inside but that is to be expected in any home, especially in the summertime. The home itself was comfortable while being one minute away from beach access and 5 minutes from so many cool local coffee shops and fun restaurants. We went into town for dinner and ended up at a car show, the vibes were immaculate! Highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants a convenient and peaceful beach getaway. The homeowner has really thought of everything.

Comfortable house with pleasant outdoor area. Somewhat in need of updating. Carpeting and furniture are old. Carpets were not really clean. Convenient to Encinitas shops and Carlsbad.

Great location with easy access to the beach. The hot water heater gave out and we were not able to turn on the heat during the first part of our stay. The owner took care of replacing the hot water heater and thermostat promptly. As others have mentioned there is an unpleasant odor in the garage. Cleanliness and general maintenance seem to be lacking.

The property was in a desirable location with easy access to beaches and restauants. The house had 21/2 baths with a bathroom for each bedrooom and one on the first floor. I especially loved the backyard where I was able to unwind and read. I was a bit disappointed with the utensils in the kitchen. They were rusty and not properly cleaned. We were also invaded by ants. Donelle was helpful and responded to any inquiries.

the place was easy to find despite it being a little hidden away which we liked because there was no competing for parking in this busy area. The house well appointed and nice to have bedrooms upstairs with a nice sized living room downstairs if someone want to go to sleep early. They bikes, and beach gear making it very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The host was very easily reachable.

We were very happy with the house! The only exception was the very smelly garage that smelled strongly of cat pee. But luckily we did not need to spend much time in there. The house was clean with good supplies and decent cookware. The back yard was cute and we would have enjoyed it more in better weather. My son loved the outdoor shower. The living space was cozy and we appreciated the cozy blankets. The carpets could use an upgrade as there were several stains, but the house was otherwise clean and gray smelling and lived up to our hopes!

House needs some TLC, like a serious deep clean, especially since they allow pets. The smell of synthetic air freshener overwhelmed me as soon as I walked in the door. I found 3 airwick plug-in “air fresheners” in the space and had to unplug and put in the garage as they truly gave me a headache. The sheets were so overwhelming scented with synthetic cheap dryer sheet smell I found myself congested and itchy. I had to run them through a just water cycle in the washer to get the smell out. My husband was congested from the build up of pet dander in the not so clean carpets in the bedrooms and stairwell. This place has potential, as the location is good, it really just needs a serious deep clean, carpets removed and to stop using so much synthetically scented products in the space.

We stayed 3 nights - family of 4 with two kids 8 and 10. The house is in a GREAT LOCATION with a short walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops. The amenities were OK. Bring your own soap, shampoo, cooking needs. Not sure if there wasn’t live TV available or if we just didn’t figure it out. We wanted to watch March Madness games and ended up casting them to the TV. Host was very responsive but not flexible on the 10a check out time. Overall very nice stay.

Fantastic, quiet rental with a fab outdoor area. Loved the outdoor shower. Well stocked with beach stuff, very short walk to Grandview beach. Couldn’t have had a better location. We loved that it wasn’t generic furniture and decorations. Really has the old school surf beach feel, feels like someone’s long-time Leucadian surf house. Four friends staying together , one had to sleep ion the couch as there was a full size or queen bed? and one king bed. Would stay again.

Great townhome at the end of a quiet culdesac. Surfed almost daily at the nearby Grandview Surf Beach which had a great mellow vibe. Didn’t want to leave. Lots of good food nearby. Legoland was great to entertain the kids

We loved this home! It has everything you need from extra blankets, to quaint outdoor seating, every pot and pan you could ever need as well as clean spacious bedrooms. We enjoyed drinking coffee on our morning walks to the donut shop then the beach! I highly recommend this one, a classic gem.

The location was pretty close to the beach, but a bit of ways from the kids friendly beaches. The property was clean-ish, comfortable, and had plenty of amenities. The location was great, very walkable, lots of really good restaurants nearby and a quiet neighborhood. I do not recommend staying here in August.The townhouse does not have a "fan system" for air only heat. It gets very warm upstairs. We found old and dirty fans in closets and used those. The temp inside typically was 78-80(even on the days/nights it was nice outside) so we spent most of our time outside to stay cool and keep our pets cool. The Townhouse could use some tlc.There are only one set of sheets for each bed and only one wash cloth per bathroom. Which meant lots of laundry during our stay for the month. The living room couch is extremely soft, we bolstered it with some pillows. The kitchen does not have adequate glassware and very little plastic glassware for outdoor use. We did have a delay of about an hour at checkin due to not receiving the entry code. The property manager did respond to questions asked in a timely manner.

This property is in a fabulous location. The neighborhood was quite, safe and a short walk to the beach. You can easily walk to local restaurants as well. It felt very spacious for a 2/2.5. The backyard was great as were the 2 parking spaces. It was nice to have the garage for extra storage and on-site laundry was wonderful since we stayed for almost two months. The only cons to our stay was the cleanliness of the space. We had to request an extra cleaning when we arrived. We did ask to arrive a bit before check-in, so, that may have affected the pre-cleaning process. We did suggest a deep cleaning to the property manager, so, this will most likely not be a problem for future renters. Overall, it was great for me and my family.
