About this house rental
Whether you desire a quiet retreat or days filled with activity, this setting fits the bill. Resting next to the crystal clean Pine River, you are minutes from trout fishing, hunting, tubing, boating, canoeing, cycling, hiking and swimming. Winter activities include downhill skiing, cross country skiing, tubing, ice fishing and snow shoeing. The cottage comes equipped with air conditioning, a screened in porch, two modern bathrooms and a washer and dryer. There are four single beds in the guest bedroom. The master bedroom contains a queen sized bed. The porch holds a hide-a-bed couch. It is only a minute's walk to Saxeville or the Covered Bridge Park. It is a magical setting.

Because of the training schedule at the Saxeville fire station, I was out of the cabin by 7am and returned after 6pm both days. Was not able to enjoy the trout stream and just relax.

Very picturesque and lovely, clean cottage. It was my first experience renting a place away from home rather than going to a hotel/motel. Owner let me know he would be mowing lawn in afternoon the 2nd day, which was no problem since I was going to be busy somewhere else anyway. However, when I got back at 8:30 PM alone I found a strange car in the driveway and light on in house with duffle bag on living room floor. No one answered when I called out. I immediately called Tom's number and left message and then his wife who explained situation and said she would send him right over. Although I feel an owner has the right to visit his property, I was surprised to find that they can do it while you are renting it. He said he thought we had left early because there were sheets by the washer but those were just the ones from the beds used by my nephews the night before and my things were still in the main bedroom and on the bathroom counter. I did not feel safe after he left as I was alone, realizing anyone with a key could get in, and had to put chairs under the door nobs as there were no dead bolts or secondary locks. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep. This is a lovely place but I would never rent by myself again.
