About this house rental
Haut Rigaleau is a house located in the middle of vineyards in a quiet hamlet between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac, on the hillsides of the Dordogne.
It is a winemaker's house from 1875 facing south, which includes 3 bathrooms and sleeps 8: 2 double bedrooms with 160 cm bed and 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds, one of which can still be put into a bed double.
WiFi access, large screen TV, garden.
The private salt pool, on an overhang, offering a view of the vineyards and the woods is covered with an electric curtain.
The house offers a covered terrace in the shade of the sun with plancha (gaz). The ground floor offers a large 38 m2 single level living room, a 25 m2 dining room with fireplace and Gironde tiles and a large games room.
The kitchen with its stone fireplace is equipped with a gas / electric piano stove and a large American fridge-freezer.
The 4 bedrooms are upstairs and equipped with 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and 2 toilets. The third bathroom with shower is located on the ground floor with a separate toilet.
A laundry room is available with 2 washing machines and dryer, tables and irons.
Haut Rigaleau is an ideal place to stay with your family (cot and high chair available) and a comfortable lodging for weddings at Château Soulac, La Tourbeille and La Rivière de Prats, near Juillac and Pessac-sur-Dordogne.
The house is equipped with outdoor games: including badmington, ping pong table, football goals, water polo goals (pool) and wooden table football. Finally, the geographical location of the house makes it a starting point for visits between the Bordeaux region and the Périgord.
In the months of July and August, arrival and departure are, without exception, on Saturday or Sunday.
We draw your attention to the fact that a holiday insurance certificate is required for any possible damage caused.

This was a brilliant house to keep kids and adults entertained. This is a great area which we know and love, and this is one of the best that we’ve stayed at. Would definitely return!

We stayed for two weeks (two families: four adults, four children) and had a great time. The house is really well set up - well stocked kitchen, great communal areas, lovely bedrooms and lots of outdoor equipment like deckchairs, parasols, games etc. The pool area was great and the pool was a perfect size and temperature.
We didn’t have any problems while we were there but communications with the owners was very easy so I'm sure we'd have been able to sort out anything that came up. Highly recommended if you want some very relaxing peace and relaxation!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Haut Rigaleau, and we had the most peaceful and relaxing time in this gorgeous farmhouse. The house itself is equipped with everything you need, plus an amazing games area which kept our 5 year old happy, and the most blissful pool area overlooking the vineyards. We would spend our mornings exploring markets in the local towns, and afternoons lazing by the pool. We made friends with the farmer opposite and his goats, and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful location, listening to bird song in the evenings and seeing deer amongst the vines. Sophie and Grégoire were perfect hosts, there if we needed anything at all. We’d love to return, thank you!

We stayed here with some friends and their children and we all loved it. The house is beautiful, set in lovely grounds. The pool was great too - really decent size, clean and looking over vines. Nice quiet area with lots of little villages nearby. We would definitely stay again.
