About this house rental
Large, spacious 2800 sq. foot house. The house is situated right on the lake with amazing water views. You can launch your kayak, canoe, or paddle board right off the dock in the back of the house. You can also fish off our dock. Hours of fun on the lake! Or just sit back and relax on our back deck to the water views watching the herons, ducks, and all the wildlife. There are also 2 tennis courts in the neighborhood for you to use.
The house is just 1 mile down the road from the town of Bethany and the beach. Easy 20 min walk to the beach but even better, the trolley stops right in front of the house. The trolley runs every 1/2 hour during the summer and drops you off right at the beach and town. So park the car, go to the beach during the day, enjoy the restaurants in town in the evening, and the next time you will get in your car is when you leave to go home. If you prefer to drive to the beach, it's only a 5 minute drive and there are 2 parking passes available for your use.
The main level features a large open living room/dining room. There is a full wall of windows in the living room with amazing water views of the lake. There is a flat screen TV and DVD. The house has cable and wireless internet.The large kitchen off the dining room has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The screened in porch is off the dining room with water views. There is a lounge area and also small dining area there. Walk outside the screened in porch onto the main floor deck and there is a great lounge set with amazing water views.
There is also a large bedroom with its own bathroom on the main level so great for those who don't like stairs. Next to the bathroom is the laundry room with full washer/dryer.
Up the stairs to the 2nd floor is a loft hallway that looks onto the main floor. The large master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with granite countertops. There is also a TV in the room. Off the master bedroom are sliding doors to the upstairs deck. This deck has 2 chaise lounges and a sitting lounge set with water views. There are 2 more bedrooms which share a bathroom.

The house is very family friendly. In the bunk bed room, the dresser is a dresser/changing table combo. There is a changing pad in the closet. You just need to bring your changing pad cover. There is also a diaper genie and pack and play in the closet for your use if needed. In addition, there is a bin of toys in the bunk bed room that will keep the kids entertained for hours.
The house sleeps 13 people with the above arrangement and that is the maximum number of occupants allowed for our rental.
The driveway is large enough to park 4-5 cars. There is an outside shower on the right side of the house. The lake that the house sits on connects to the canals which connects to the bay. You are down the street from Bethany Beach and 10 minutes from Fenwick Island and Dewey Beach, 15 minutes from Ocean City, and 20 minutes from Rehoboth Beach. So great location and close to all the beaches if you want to explore more than one.

It’s a decent place to stay but not worth the price. It’s too far from the beach to walk. Have to drive or take the trolly. Not providing towels and sheets was a boomer. We had to use a local company to get sheets and towels for everyone.costly and very inconvenient. They leave them outside and you’ve got to figure out and make the beds yourself. Also kitchen appliances, pans, pots and overall day to day use should be updated and more organized and less damaged. Patio furnitures damaged and cushions very dirty. We used towels to sit and use them.

Wonderful and the transporation was excellent. Fishing at the back door. My Grandson got up early every day and fished we had to drag him in at dark. I think its a bit much to buy a license for a few day of back yard fishing.

Beautiful home in a fantastic location! Enjoyed the access to the waterway from the dock, the ease of taking the trolley to the beach, and the accessibility of all of the activities. Owner was very responsive and all was wonderful!

Lovely property, great location, quiet and convenient.
The home itself, however is in need of deep cleaning and repairs.
For example, some hardware on the doors of the kitchen cabinets were totally missing ( this had been mentioned in a previous review but obviously not attended to), screen door to backyard doesn’t fit correctly, big gap at bottom ( also noted before our visit). The tub was stained brown from water issues I suppose, but my postpartum daughter in law was on her hands and knees trying to clean it so her little children could use it. I was so embarrassed about that. No mirror in first floor bedroom, fans and return vents covered in dust and grime, antenna in master bedroom SCOTCH TAPED to the wall. Windows look like they have never been washed. Screened in porch needs an outdoor fan. Mini blinds with cords are a choking hazard and need to be updated.
All that being said, we enjoyed our week at the beach for many other reasons. We just feel this property needs some deep cleaning and attention. Would love to rent again, but will not consider unless property is given some attention.
