Lined with marinas and boat launches, you can set sail on a whale watching tour or fishing charter, and then end your day at a fresh seafood restaurant.

Perfect location for our family vacation

Our family of 8 adults had an incredible 9-night stay at Y Go By. At first glance it may look like a small cottage but as others have mentioned, the house has a much bigger feel to it with plenty of space to hang out. The 3D layout of the house was extremely helpful to our group for planning purposes. Between the in-law cottage, large deck, the sun room and den in the main house there is plenty of space for a big family. The open concept in the kitchen and large dining room table was perfect for family dinners and game nights. The house is about 1/4 mile from Goose Rocks Beach, or about a 5 minute walk. It is a very quiet community and the beach is in a beautiful bay area, making the water much warmer than other beaches in Maine. It is a very quiet beach with plenty of space, regardless of high or low tide. There is a general store/gift shop less than a mile away with plenty of supplies. There is also a fresh seafood shack half a mile away, Tide Beach Club is half a mile in the other direction and there is a great ice cream shop less than two miles away. After long days on the beach, we found ourselves spending most of our time on the expansive back deck and yard, cooking on the grill, playing yard games and sitting by the fire pit. There are spots all along route 9 and even along New Biddeford Road to pick up firewood. The house also has a storage bin in the backyard with about 10 beach chairs, several umbrellas and a kayak.Overall, the house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of extra towels and other supplies. The two bathrooms were a great size and the outdoor shower was awesome. As mentioned in the listing, there is no AC but they do provide several fans. The temperature is pretty comfortable - especially when the windows are open to the ocean air - but if you're staying in the summer we'd encourage guests to bring a fan just to be safe.We really can't say enough good things about this house. You can tell it's owned by a very loving family and they have taken great care of it. The house was everything we could have wanted and it made for an unforgettable family weekend. We hope to be back next year and would love to make it an annual tradition!
