About this house rental
We have a beautiful 1 ½ story 5 bedroom 4 ½ bath, 5000 sq. ft. home. Our main level great room has cathedral ceilings, beautifully decorated with flat screen TV, surround sound stereo system, gas fire place and view of the golf course. Our dining room seats 8-10. The kitchen has high end GE appliances with gas cooktop, double ovens, granite counter tops, bar area with a refreshment/wine cooler. The kitchen table seats 8 with additional seating at the counter. Off the kitchen is a screened porch overlooking Glen Oaks Golf course, with beautiful furniture, full size couch, dining table, TV.
A deck is off the porch with a gas grill and an umbrella table. Our master bedroom has a king size bed, and a flat screen TV. There is a master bath with double vanity, Jacuzzi tub, ceramic shower with seat, TV and walk in closet. We have a first floor laundry with full size appliances for your use. The second floor has 3 well decorated bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen and 1 double, 1 “jack and jill” full bath and 1 private bath. All the bedrooms have a TV. Our lower level has a large family room with 50 inch flat screen HD TV, a bar, a game room with ping-pong, and a walk out patio with table and chairs and a hot tub under roof. The 5th bedroom is on the lower level with a king size bed, TV, and a full bath.
The location of our home is in a prestigious neighborhhood in The Estates of Glen Oaks in Louisville’s east end. We are 18 miles to Churchill Downs and 15 miles to Valhalla Golf Course (per interstate). There are “fine-dining” restaurants within 5 min, or a walking community with restaurants in nearby Norton Commons. Downtown Louisville is a 20 minute drive to Fourth Street Live, or the NULU district where there are numerous restaurants and night life where you can take in a carriage ride around town, visit the bat museum, or the Belle of Louisville steam boat. Louisville is a beautiful city to visit for the Derby, Breeders Cup, PGA Golf Tournaments or anytime.

We were a group of 3 couples in town for the Derby. Owner was super and communicated in a timely manner with all the information we needed.
The home itself was great. We were able to spread out across three floors and each couple had their own area. Property backs up to a golf course and the neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe.
Nearby were plenty of restaurants and a grocery store.
We would return without question.

The house was perfect for my EKU '87 friends and I to reconnect after years apart for the Derby. Screened in porch was our favorite, but great kitchen for preparing food and gathering, spacious bedrooms/baths, hot tub and more. Owners could not have been nicer and so helpful with our group. Hoping that we can make it back in a few years.

We absolutely ENJOYED our stay at this property. The host Dave was very accommodating and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. He recommended nearby restaurants and stores for anything that we may have needed. Plus, the home was BEAUTIFUL with plenty of space for my family of 8. I would highly recommend this home for your next stay in Louisville, with only a short 15 min drive to Churchhill Downs if you are headed to the Derby. I am so happy that we found this location and will definitely consider staying again when we return! Thanks Dave!
