About this cottage rental
The Beech House gets its name from the large beech tree stump by the cottage (sadly used to be the whole tree) - plus you will find 'BEACH' here. Silver Lake is an amazing place to vacation - endless fun, activities galore, and the incredible Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan beaches to explore. This property has been in our family for 40 years and we added it to our rental listings in the past 10 years.
We have strict cleaning protocols for your sanitizing assurance between rentals. Guests bring their own bed sheets/pillowcases and bath towels. All mattress pads, pillow case protectors, bed spreads, bath floor mats, bath hand towels, door rugs, kitchen towels are replaced between each stay.
The cottage has AIR CONDITIONING! We are happy to make you more comfortable on those hot summer nights.
This cottage has a large great room, open to the fully-remodeled kitchen and to a large deck. The deck has a view of Hunter's Creek and a peaceful wooded lot. There are steps/decking down to the dock - bring your pole and cast a line. The creek has direct access to Silver Lake, suitable for smaller boats, kayaks, canoes and wave runners. Our guests really enjoy exploring the creek and navigating out to Silver Lake. During your stay you also have use of the association pool, playground and picnic area just down our street. We have pool/beach toys in the shed - help yourself!
There are 3 bedrooms, equipped with a queen size bed in two of them and full size bed in the third. We have two new couches in the great room. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The great room is very open and perfect for socializing (6 persons at the table, 3 seats at the bar and more on the deck at the picnic table). The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster - the works! We fully remodeled the kitchen in 2023. We aim to please the 'foodie' in you!
To make your stay more relaxing, we have loaded the book case with beach reads and books for the kids. There is also a toy bin and plenty of board games. We have a smart TV with ROKU, Xbox console/games and wireless fiber internet.
Outside there is a gas BBQ grill, deck furniture and fire pit. We have a long driveway that can accommodate your trailer with all the 'toys' and additional parking spots along the road. Be sure to check with us to make sure we can accommodate your parking needs.
This location is within walking distance to everything - you can be close to all the fun, but enjoy privacy & quiet. The kids can ride their bikes safely on our paved cul-de-sac street. Just a short walk away are go-karts/arcade, bumper cars/boats, miniature golf at Craig's Cruisers, shopping at Dunetown Mall, Ice Cream, restaurants, any type of water craft rental at the Wave Club, Jeep/Quad/Buggy rentals. Or, hop on your bike or lace up your running shoes and cruise the paved pedestrian path around the entire lake. A ride out to the tallest lighthouse on Lake Michigan, Little Sable Point, to catch an evening sunset is a must-do on your vacation bucket list. The Lighthouse is open for tours during summer weekends.

Stayed with my 3 boys and our dog for the week. We arrived to a cozy cabin with a s’mores welcome gift! The cabin had everything we could have needed and then some. The location was perfect and within walking distance from all kinds of activities. Tammy was a great host and super helpful. Will definitely be back. Don’t hesitate, book your stay today!

We had a great time. We’ve been going to this area for over 11 years. It’s our happy place. The cottage was beautiful. Very clean, stocked with all the utensils you need. I couldn’t have been any happier and comfortable. Coming back next year. 👍👍👍❤️
