Welcome to 'My Happy Place' on beautiful St. George Island! Formerly known as She Shells and Broadwing, always a top rental! My Happy Place is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home with a sleeper sofa, offering sleeping for 10 guest.
You will find amazing views at this home with plenty of porch space and seating to enjoy them. We believe the view from the top balcony is one of the best on the island! You are only a short walk to the bike path and the St. George Island beach from this home.
Chances are, this gorgeous Victorian home has caught your eye if you have ever driven down Gulf Beach Drive near the corner of 12th street and the St. George Island plantation gate. This home towers high with 2 floors of living space with an additional stair set going up to the 3rd floor reading nook with balcony. Numerous windows and tall ceilings make this home bright, airy, and open.
Through out the home you will find nautical décor touches with tranquil colors on the walls. You can relax sitting in the open living room with comfortable seating, wrap around windows, Flat screen TV, and a large book shelf with plenty of books and games. Take a peak on the kids in the pool downstairs by walking out the screened in porch off the living & kitchen area. By the way, our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, bake ware, appliances- including: coffee maker, blender, toaster, mixer & more. All stainless steel appliances in this kitchen!
The enchanted dining area features a wooden chandelier, romantic wall sconces, a built in bench for the dining table, and a sliding glass door for access to the outside screened porch.
Along with kitchen and dining on the first floor, there is a hallway bathroom with shower, and a full bedroom with a flat screen and a beautiful view. By taking the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor you have 3 bedrooms on this level. The King master bedroom is simply wonderful! As pictured, take a look out the windows for palm tree-tops & a gulf view . Walk out to your own private screened in porch off the master to feel the breeze. The circular shape and window placement in the master bedroom makes for another panoramic view with plenty of sunshine lighting. Double dressers and a flat screen in the master! Off the master you have the master bathroom with a tub/shower combo, vanity, and small linen closet for your sunscreen and towels. Around the corner is a fun place for children. Bedroom #2 features 2 twin beds, a book shelf with books, closet, bright artwork on the wall, and a fun kid's table for 2! Bedroom #3 is a Queen bedroom featuring fun aqua walls with pops of coral decor, awesome - amazing views, and a flat screen to top it off! There is a Jack and Jill bathroom conveniently located between Bedroom #2 & #3. This bathroom is a tub/shower combo with vanity.
The multiple decks on this home make the outside feel as spacious as the inside. Wide parking spaces under the home, including a wide drive way. Take a swim in the pool and soak up the sun with outdoor seating including chairs & lounge chairs, all surrounded by a privacy fence. As an added bonus, there is an outdoor bathroom with sink, outdoor shower, and an outdoor fish cleaning station located just outside the pool gate.
**Pool can be heated for a fee of $250 but is not guaranteed due to the weather below 60° or any maintenance issues that may arise. Please call when you book the home to heat the pool and the week before your arrival in case of inclement weather or maintenance issues.
The 2 screened in porches have plenty of seating as well as fans and lighting. The elevator is ready to bring your guest and groceries up, at no charge to use. We welcome well-behaved pets for a pet fee. Yes, there is FREE Cable & WI-FI!

House was very accommodating, lots of space for our family. We loved the heated pool, screened porches, location near the beach and beautiful view. House was neat and tidy, cleaning crew may need to do a more detailed deep clean, but overall our experience was great!

Property needs updating and more thorough cleaning. Especially in the bathrooms. Pool was a real plus! Easy and quick communication with the manager. Very prompt responses!!

First can I say elevator!? It made getting everything inside and to it proper place so much faster. The layout is perfect and everything seems to be just where it should. A home away from home. The beach was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. Definitely “My Happy Place”

Beautiful home and such a nice and beautiful location. My family had fun. Had some issues with the cleanliness of the home (dirty floors, bathrooms, etc.) and also issues with the pool. The host, however, responds very quickly and sent someone out to check the pool. He would have sent someone to clean, however, at the time I didn’t realize that a cleaner would be willing to come back out. The host was willing to try to fix the situation each time.
