About this house rental
The Stone Cottage is located on almost an acre, down a secluded lane across from Lake Michigan. It's the perfect escape from your hectic life where you can spend time with family over the holidays, or enjoy a peaceful romantic getaway. Just down the road is a hidden treasure of Baileys Harbor, the beautiful and historic Bjorklunden Estate.
You can walk many trails, either wooded or along Lake Michigan, or stroll into Baileys Harbor where you have many shops and restaurants available.
This beautifully designed home built in 2007, has vaulted ceilings, skylights and a stunning stone fireplace in the great room which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The wall of windows and skylights bring Door County's natural beauty to the home.
Through a pair French doors, just off the entry way, you go into the library, with a magnificent bookcase and comfortable furniture that offers a quiet retreat. There is a media room that is perfect for games, conversation or just relaxing with family and friends.
Across the hall from the library is the powder room and laundry with a full size washer and dryer.
The split floor plan is designed with the master suite on the first floor. It has a 6' patio door going to the deck and gazebo and a full bath with a double vanity and soaking tub. The first floor also has a queen bedroom and a bedroom with 2 twin beds.
The fifth bedroom with queen bed, and queen bedroom and full bath are on the second floor. Downstairs has 3 bathrooms, one is half bath
In the back, the sun filled wooded setting, with a large deck and attached gazebo, are perfect for entertaining family and friends. There is a firepit in the backyard where you can gather in the evenings for conversations with friends or cooking s'mores with the kids. There is gas grill as well as tables for outdoor dining. Also a full size generator for electricity outages. The walking trails will lead you into wooded paths perfect for viewing the wildlife, or down to the lake for stunning views of the sunrise. There is a fire pit, no wood provided. As of 2023 the downstairs has all new flooring through out the downstairs. All new quartz counter tops in kitchen of this year 2024

Great house for family. Very good kitchen equipment for preparing meals and a fab grill on the deck. Plenty of space for quiet time and family time. 3.5 Bathrooms had good space and there was a full laundry, also very helpful. Upstairs bedrooms had window air conditioners that worked well but were a bit noisy so good to use ear plugs if you’re sensitive to noise. Furniture and beds comfortable for a rental. Sharon was very accessible and answered questions very quickly and was very accommodating. Also the house is very well situated with an easy walk to town for coffee, beach, etc, easy access to walking trails and central to various activities like the Farm, Whitefish Dunes SP, Newport Beach SP, kayaking, boat tour out of Fish Creek, shopping and dining throughout DC. Highly recommend.

Nicely stocked kitchen . Enjoyed backyard and fire pit. Quiet neighborhood but close to Bailey's Harbor. Great spot for our extended family to gather!
