Located in the heart of Pacific Beach just three blocks from the shore and Crystal Pier in San Diego, California. HappyNest is a home away from home where memories are built to cherish a life time.

The name comes from the private rooftop patio NEST and the general HAPPY mood everyone is in when they visit the condo at the beach.

The fully remodeled 1400sqft HappyNest features three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, able to sleep up to 7 adults. A beautiful combination of travertine and walnut flooring will put your allergies at ease and set the mood for a relaxing vacation. HappyNest has a full kitchen, gas barbeque, dining area, as well as a spacious living area and private rooftop patio, each with a gas fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, a full size fridge, gas stove/oven, microwave, pots/pans, dishes/glasses/utensils, cooking/grilling utensils, wine bar. Pantry and fridge items are free to use.

Full size washer and dryer are located on the second floor of the condo.

Wireless internet is included. Beach toys for your enjoyment are stored in the garage. Parking space located in rear of building. Sorry, no pets allowed.

When you stay at the HappyNest, you can leave your worries behind. Including your car! Endless beach activities including surfing, boogie boarding, roller blading, sailing, paddle boarding, rowing, wind surfing, kite surfing, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, biking, people watching, (and if you're really adventurous...jet pack rentals in the bay!). Sprouts Grocery and countless restaurants and bars are within just a few steps of the door. This really is the PERFECT location for vacation.

Imagine spending the day on the beach listening to the sounds of the waves crashing on shore, the song of the sea gulls, or even surfing the day away. Then stopping for dinner at JRDN while watching the sunset. Walking back to the HappyNest through Garnet Avenue and grabbing a famous Baked Bear ice cream sandwich and finally reaching the NEST to enjoy the warm summer evening from the rooftop with a glass of wine or an ice cold beverage. Our family chose this home to spend Christmas together. House was well equipped with lots of space for our family of 6. It is located in a residential area just off the main business street in Pacific Beach. An easy walk to the beach (you can see the water from the rooftop seating area). Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and even groceries a block away. We also loved that we could walk to Mass for Christmas. Easy drive to anywhere in San Diego. Communication with hosts was easy. A nice surprise - you can see the Sea World fireworks from the roof every evening.

We were five students living together in HappyNest and it worked out perfectly, even though the bedroom next to the living room didn't have a door attached. The condo was spacious, clean and well functioning, and the rooftop patio featured some great views over Pacific Beach. It was also convenient having our own parking space outside, as well as a garage storage. However, the best thing was definitely the location, with everything you need situated within few minutes by foot. Would easily recommend this place!

Stayed for a month at this wonderful townhouse in a great location in Pacific Beach, CA. Working with the owners was seamless and they were very responsive to our requests. They even bought and installed a Roku so that we could have more selection of TV channels and streaming services. The property has its own parking space which is a bonus in this area as parking is at a premium. The property itself was well provisioned for a lengthy stay and having access to bicycles was a bonus. This unit is well positioned for a family with children although it was just the two of us staying there for the month. In conclusion we would highly recommend this property for its setup and proximity to the beach, shopping, and numerous restaurants as well as having great owners to work with 👍

I spent 6 weeks here with two other roommates for 5 weeks during a summer course and then a final week with my preschool aged boys, my husband and my father. My roommates and I loved the location - the house is so close to the beach and all the restaurants and life in Pacific Beach. We also had the ability to remain private when we needed to study because of the three story layout. When my family came, it was fantastic for the boys to play in the ocean and just walk back to the house, hose off at the garage and then get dressed to do something else. It was so easy! I personally stayed in the lower room for the first 5 weeks and the upper room for the final one. The house was remarkably quiet at night for such a hopping area, contrary to what some other reviewers said. I am from a major city, and San Diego is a major city, so I expect some noise. I loved running along the beach and up through La Jolla, leaving right from the front door. There’s a few shops right off the street this condo is on and next to the beach to rent surfboards, so you can easily partake in the gentle, friendly surfing here. The owners were extremely responsive to all our needs. When a toilet started running, I messaged the owners and they came over within an hour and had it fixed right away. If my family were to stay in Pacific Beach again, we definitely would stay here!

We were four students from Norway living here for 5 months and we really enjoyed our stay. The place is fantastic located with 5 minutes walking distance to the beach, and right next to the main street with all the restaurants and bars (Garnet). The house is in good condition with a nice layout, and comfortable rooms. The best part about the house is definitely the roof top terrace, where we enjoyed several hours during our stay. Jennifer and Stefano are fantastic hosts and live right nearby which is very convenient if there should be any problems with the house. They are also super friendly and helpful if you need any assistance during your stay. I would really recommend this listing to everyone!

We stayed there for 4 months and it was a lovely place to stay. Jennifer and Stefano was very friendly and took care of anything in the house. There was various of space for us six people who stayed there and it was a wonderful home. They came with supplies when there was need for it and took care of anything. There was also bikes available for the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to stay near the beach and close to the bars and restaurant.

We had 6 wonderful months in this condo. We were 5 girls studying abroad for one semester and this apartment was perfect. Quiet area but at the same time you have bars, restaurants and shops just meters away from the condo. We had one of the best apartments among the students and the neighbours were so kind. Pacific beach is a short walk from the condo, just a few blocks. If you walk straight to Pacific beach and then take a right you have mission beach were the Universities are having their surfing lessons. Pacific beach is also a good surfing area and also a nice beach just to relax or if you want to play volleyball. The condo had bicycles available and we had so many beautiful biking trips to Mission bay. Perfect for nice walks, jogging, longboarding, roller skaters and more. There are also many good resturants in the area. Mission beach which is the neighbour beach also had many good lunch places. Jennifer and Stefano was so helpful and went by if we had any problems. The washing machine was a little different from the ones in Norway but Jennifer came by just to show us how to use it. If we had any questions we contacted them and they were happy to help. The condo also had everything we needed from kitchen tools to bed sheets. Beach towels was available, detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, cofee, tea and more. Overfall we had a fantastic stay and I would love to stay in this apartment again!

My family and I stayed at Happy Nest for the entire month of July, 2016. The trip was a combination of work and play for me and all play for my wife and two kids (10 and 12). I was looking for a place that would provide a good work-environment as well as a well-located (beach, restaurants, etc.), comfortable, fun space for our family and we got it all. We felt like we were really at a home away from home, which I have rarely experienced during my many years of travel around the world. HappyNest is a newly remodeled, roomy condo that really has it all, including a private rooftop patio, fireplaces (on rooftop too), full kitchen, barbeque, central living area, full size washer and dryer, wireless internet, Netflix, private parking space and they even had boogie boards and chairs for the beach. Despite the busy surrounding area, Happy Nest is a quiet environment where you feel that you stepped away from lively Pacific Beach atmosphere, but are still you are only a block to all of the activity on Garnett and three blocks from the beach and Crystal Pier. Thus it fits both a semi-reclusive lifestyle (we spent entire days lounging around the townhouse) and a full-on touristy experience (bars, restaurants, bicycling, beach, etc.). The location is very well situated between downtown San Diego and the great towns up the coast with easy access to Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla, Del Mar, etc. Jennifer and Stefano were great hosts and helped make the entire experience wonderful and full of life-long memories. Generally this was a good rental for us with everything in the condo in good working condition. Close enough to the ocean which is about a five (5) block walk, many different restaurants and a grocery store within a block. We were out everyday walking or touring around San Diego. Bus service is just out the door, downtown San Diego about a ½ hour ride. We were five adults, the single adult slept in the bottom bunk bed which was fine. We do not think the unit is equipped to accommodate any more than five (5) adults comfortably. The few negative things we encountered were: no a/c or ceiling fans and poor (slow) Internet service which locked up watching the only thing on the television “Netflix” (make sure you have data on your devise). We kept the windows opened to dissipate some of the heat, but the trade off was a lot of noise at night from the young people partying, the noise did diminish sometime after midnight. The lighting in the dining area could be improved, maybe LED bulbs?

What a perfect place to stay for families visiting San Diego! The location is close to the beach and lots of great restaurants as well as Trader Joe's for snacks and food. Our favorite restaurant was Caffe Bella Italia. The place itself is very clean and has 3 bedrooms, all on separate floors, which is great for those that want to stay together but also want a bit a privacy. If you have trouble with stairs this may not be for you. Having Netflix was a great plus as well. What really blew me away though was the property management and owners. We came in quite late on the night of our arrival and had a problem getting in and the owners were super quick to respond and take care of the problem. Amazing! The only thing I would say is the description mentioned a jogging stroller and there is an umbrella stroller for your use, so if you envision yourself jogging by the beach with your little one in the borrowed stroller, you will be disappointed. We were fine with the umbrella stroller and I think the average family would be too. Anyway, all and all, we couldn't ask for more. Would love to go back soon! Highly recommended.

The HappyNest is exactly as it is described .. luxury. We arrived at 9:30pm exhausted from a day of travel and were happy to find our beds already made and ready for sleep. If you are looking to stay in an area that is within walking distance to food, the beach, groceries, then HappyNest is the place to stay. Among the many amenities - linens and towels were provided along complimentary coffee and free wi-fi. Beach towels, blankets and bikes were also available along with boogie boards that the grandkids enjoyed. We would absolutely stay there again on our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We had 5 adults (3 are between ages 17 - 25). It was so clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. Very inviting and warm. Nice touches throughout. We enjoyed the roof-top view as well, especially on July 4. This is in an excellent location between Mission Bay and La Jolla. We appreciated having the boogie boards and bikes. Great place. Would definitely stay there again.

What a great home - the pictures do not do it justice. From the very beginning the owners were great, very responsive and had great recommendations for things to see & do. Once we got to the place we were very pleased with everything. The layout is great for groups - the living room, dining room, and kitchen are laid out perfectly with the main bedrooms on the first and third floor so people who want to get away from the group still have their privacy. It's in a great location, walking distance to all that Pacific Beach has to offer. And the rooftop deck even offers peek-a-boo ocean views. Will definitely be back for another girls weekend!

The condo is in a excellent location, a few blocks off the beach with many stores and restaurants within walking distance. The rooftop patio has an excellent vantage point for viewing the area. Having 3 rooms was good as you have some privacy with a group area. With that, the room on the 2nd floor probably needs a real door to block out sounds. The beds on the 1st and 2nd floors were nice and comfortable. The bed on the 3rd floor could use another small mattress on top for it to be more comfortable. The kitchen/diving/living areas are nice and open where everyone could talk without having to move around walls. It was very nice to have a parking spot, we didn't have to worry about where to park, nor worry about getting a ticket if we parked in the wrong spot. There was an issue with the rooftop patio fireplace. The manager and owner were very responsive in communication and the owner resolved the issue the same day as it was reported. We enjoyed using the fireplace after it was fixed. Overall we recommend this condo as it very is in a very good location, and was very nice, neat, and tidy.

Wow! The entire HappyNest experience was wonderful. With a family of 6 we knew that a condo was the way to go to truly enjoy SD. Pacific Beach is the perfect spot. With many choices at your footsteps it is true there is something for everyone. The beach and boardwalk are just 2-3 blocks away. The kids enjoyed the boogie boards that were available to guests at the condo. We loved the rooftop patio with the views and cozy fireplace. The kitchen had everything you would need to make some great meals. Grocery stores 2 blocks away. (Sprouts and Trader Joes). The rooms were spacious and had all the bedding and towels you would need for the week. My favorite, being a mom of 4, was having a washer and dryer right on the main floor to keep up with laundry. Decor was bright and beachy without being over the top. Very relaxing space to be in. My husbands final words were "let's book it for next Springbreak!" Thank you to the great hosts!
