About this house rental
Enjoy the sunsets from this large beach front home or sip your coffee on the porch while watching the early morning activities on this all sports lake. Sleeps 10 people, so bring the whole family. Sandy beach, fishing right off the dock or bring your water toys to play on the lake. In the evening start a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the company of family and friends.
Many new upgrades completed this on this home. Beach side of house has been resided and new windows. Deck has been all redone and is much larger and added outdoor speakers. New grill, fire-pit and patio furniture so you can enjoy the beach and the many sunsets. AC was also added in the upstairs bedroom areas to keep you cool on those hot summer nights.
Should you decide to venture out, Gaylord is only 5 miles away where you can enjoy shopping and dining at several locations. You are close to many championship golf courses, or if you stay in the winter skiing and snowmobile trails are only a few steps away.
Fishing poles, paddle board and Kayak are there for you to use during your stay. We provide Cable WiFi and games as well for those lazy rainy days. Start building your vacation memories today!

The weather was less than ideal during our stay which was a big bummer. We had 4 adults and a 3 and 1 year old. But the cottage was so cozy and the deck was perfect to sit and watch the storms or enjoy the outdoors even if it was raining. The beach was so great, just what I was looking for for the kids. The neighbors are a lot closer than it looked in the pictures. It was fine though. They had everything we needed. We even visited Gaylord and some of the things it offers to keep us busy. Would definitely recommend!

Overall we enjoyed our trip at this cottage- just wished it was a little warmer and less windy (that's Michigan for you). Kids enjoyed the shallow water and sandy bottom. They also liked jumping off the dock. We had a little trouble with leaves piling up on the beach and in the water but the owner did come and clean up most of it. Perhaps consider hiring someone to maintain the beach for your renters if this happens in the future?
Also if bringing a boat, make sure to bring items to secure it in the water or on the beach. It was VERY windy for several days during our stay and I'm not sure if that's typical weather for Gaylord, but it's best to be prepared or risk damaging your boat. Fishing in Otsego lake was tough for us; we did not catch much even with much effort.
The interior of the cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The beds were also very comfortable and the cabin was clean upon arrival. We did have trouble with the circuit breaker blowing often when the air conditioner was running as it appears many outlets are connected to one circuit (upstairs lighting/outlets, 2 air conditioners, refrigerator, and downstairs bathroom). Not too big of a problem for us but could become a problem for renters in the heat of summer. Some outlets upstairs were also quite loose which could pose a fire hazard. Would suggest updating electrical items upstairs and getting rid of broken dresser.
Overall we did enjoy our stay and our kids had tons of fun.
