About this house rental
Come and stay in our beautiful country home in the spectacular southern Sierra. We are only 17 gorgeous miles from the entrance into Yosemite National Park. Spend the day hiking the trails in Yosemite then come home and enjoy a refreshing swim in the large, private in-ground pool. Relax in our comfy hammocks or play horseshoes and badminton. Like to read? Curl up in one of our outdoor lounge chairs, relax, read and enjoy the sweet smelling mountain air. We have a stainless steel grill to BBQ to your heart’s delight. After dinner soak in our secluded therapeutic mineral spa reviving sore, trail weary muscles. You are only 7 minutes from the mountain village of Oakhurst where you can dine out in one of our many restaurants, take in a movie or perhaps a play at the Golden Chain Theater. A 30-minute drive up historic Hwy 49 takes you to Mariposa, an authentic gold rush town with the oldest continuously working courthouse in California, and visit one of the best museums in the area. Bass Lake is only 10 minutes away from our country home if you want to spend the day fishing and boating. Our area has many beautiful drives to take, trails to hike and things to do. Come and visit and you will want to come back again and again and again.

The pictures don't do the place justice. The house was very spacious and had a lovely old school charm. It brought back memories of my Grandparents. We had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had cookware for anything you needed. The lovely Blackstone grill was a plus. The nicely kept pool and hottub were just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was located near Bass lake and a nice creek for a hike. The scenery was wonderful. We saw a bear, deer, frog, snake, and a multitude of birds.

There is a reason why we keep coming back - this place is phenomenal! It has everything you can ask for and more. The kitchen is well stocked, the home is clean and comfortable, the pool and hot tub are a great added bonus and the fact that I can bring my pet and the grounds are perfect for a dog just makes this even more appealing as a family vacation spot! Add to that that it is close to downtown Oakhurst, Bass Lake and Yosemite. We always have a very enjoyable time when we come here and feel that it just keeps getting better and better. Thank you Chris for another perfect family vacation! Looking forward to coming again next year!

Clean space, pet friendly, wildlife watching galore and so close to Yosemite! Our 18 month olds LIVE for pool time and dinner off the Blackstone grill right after.
