About this house rental
This property is a unique waterfront jewel! Our recently renovated home was built on Baisdens Bluff, which allows for the most amazing views of the Crescent River and surrounding marshes. It is conveniently located 40 minutes from the Savannah airport. St. Simon's Island, Darien, Shellman Bluff and Sapelo Island are all close in proximity and fun to explore.
While indoors, the home features French doors across the back to enjoy the scenery. The master bedroom has a king size bed, large flat screen smart tv, and bay windows overlooking the scenic river. A large soaking tub and a shower with dual heads, as well as a walk in closet are added features to the master bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and tv for guests enjoyment. A third downstairs bedroom sleeps four in two sets of bunk beds and is a fun place for all the kids to sleep. There is an additional bathroom with a tub/shower to be shared among these two bedrooms. Upstairs you will find a fourth bedroom with a queen size bed and a bathroom with a tub/shower. Each of the bedrooms is beautifully decorated and accessorized for your added comfort.
The living room area is designed as an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling. It includes plenty of seating for the whole family to enjoy and a flat screen smart tv. Another wonderful feature is an indoor swinging bed conveniently located in a reading nook. The updated kitchen is equipped with all new stainless appliances and modern concrete countertops to complete the look. The indoor dining room table accommodates 6 guests and there is counter top seating which seats an additional four people. The laundry room is conveniently located off the kitchen and is equipped with a new washer and dryer. There is also a half bath off the laundry area which is easily accessible.
Out back there is a generous sized back porch with four rocking chairs overlooking the river and marsh, an open concrete area with a fire pit, and a screened in porch with outside seating for 8. In front there is ample parking for four to five vehicles. We have a Nest security camera that views the front drive area only. If guests request, we can disarm during their stay. If you enjoy lounging in the sun, the dock features a seating area on the top level and there is plenty of room on the lower deck as well. Four kayaks are available for your enjoyment as well as life jackets for your safety. You are welcome to dock a motor boat here during your stay. Public boat access is only a mile down the road. The adventures of the crescent river await you! Enjoy crabbing, fishing, beaching, and the vast array of wildlife. Come visit and discover the ideal escape from it all!

Had a very nice relaxing time fishing off the dock. Had a fishing guide take us out one day and were very succesful

Nice and very peaceful property. We had a great time with our family and friends that came over to visit. We look forward to using this property again in the future. Special thanks to Mr. Parker for making sure everything was okay.

We enjoyed the open porch, sunrise, sunset, talking and enjoying the weather. We gathered either outside, or around the large dinning room table, playing games, talking and eating. However, upon arrival, the first two couples identified a number of problems, which they encountered. We arrived a day later, and took photos of each issue, and called the owner immediately the next morning, sending photos and talking with him. He said he was flying in on 31 Oct to assess the situation and fix the problems. I read the guest book, and I think it was dated early Oct22, the family said it was too hot upstairs, no air conditioning. When we arrive, on 22 Oct the upstairs bedroom did have air conditioning. So I have no doubt that the owner would correct the problem areas. We all decided to work around the problem areas, fixing those we could, such as the last guests or the housekeep, failed to clean the dishes, cups, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, some were encrusted with old food. We put them all in the dishwasher and ran it, cleaning them twice. The stove was dirty on top, and inside the oven. The stove left side knob fell off, when I was using the stove. Missing a screw I think. The Range hood was coated with a layer of oil or grease. The charcoal grill was also very dirty, still had the ashes in it, apparently the last guests did not clean it. We didn’t use it. We saw the major air filters in the main and other parts of the home were clogged with a heavy layer of dust; the down stairs bedroom bed caused my brother some major back problems, it held his head and feet up, but his butt. In the master bedroom, we saw possible mold in the linen closet ceiling, and wall, splotches only. Also in the master suite closet there was a lose wire out of the outlet, without a safety cap on it. The upstairs bed room, bath tub, claw foot, was shaky for my brother in law, as he is very tall, so he used the downstairs showers. We have 6 cats visiting the house, outside only, apparently someone fed them as they showed up about breakfast time and dinner time. We did not feed them. We also were visited by two small lizards passing thru. The washer and dryer worked fine. The fridge worked fine. We visited the local area sites, and explored a new area of our country.
