About this house rental
Get away from it all at the Coral House, a beautiful beachfront home located on the white sands of Treasure Beach.
Located three miles from Utila town and ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT, a vacation at the Coral House is ideal for romantic couples wanting peace and privacy or adult friends and families looking to relax and reconnect.
Featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a great room featuring 16ft vaulted ceilings, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a huge wrap around veranda with day beds and a dinning table for six people.
Located only 70ft from the waters edge the house has sweeping views of the private beach, ocean, the utila cays and the pico bonito mountains of mainland honduras on the horizon.
Seven sets of french doors open onto the verandas, allowing you to blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. The coral house features 2400 sq.ft of living space and 800 sq.ft of covered verandas and can comfortably accommodate up to six adults and two kids.
A large sunbathing/star gazing deck is built over the water, enjoy cooling sea breezes as you look at the coral reef below or enjoy sunsets over the cays. The snorkeling in front of the house is truly world class with our beautiful coral reef.
For larger groups we can also offer the delightful PINEAPPLE HOUSE which can accommodate an additional four couples in its four bedrooms/three bathrooms, this house also features a full kitchen and living room with multiple sets of french doors that open onto a huge wrap around veranda. The Pineapple House is located 150+ft down the beach from The Coral House.
Rental includes pick up from Utila town on your arrival day and return boat trip to town on check out day (no boat transfers at night). Rental also includes a $100 per week electric credit.
Full provisioning of the home with food and drinks prior to your arrival is also available and we can arrange scuba diving, fishing and/or sight seeing trips.

The Coral House was exactly the perfect mix of rustic wild tropical seclusion mixed with enough modern conveniences to keep things comfortable for all. This is a generous 5 stars however because there is definitely room for improvement. But what was lost with what could be improved was still made up for with the private snorkelling paradise and wonderful assistance from start to finish from the manager Trish. Top treasures from The Coral House:1) top tier snorkelling from your door step - no excursion necessary 2) private location (only accessible by boat) but Captain Ron was always only a phone call away for a less then 15 minute boat ride to get anywhere you need to go3) two large bedrooms w/ private ensuits upstairs gave lots of space for luggage and gear4) fridge and freezer, A/C in every room, outside bbq5) manager Trish, she was a great source of information and connection with locals, she never made you feel like a bother if you had requests or questions Things that could be improved;1) all of the beds need to be replaced and updated. I think going with some decent bed in a boxs would be wise. The current beds were not comfortable for anyone2) there was no table inside the house and a lack of exra comfortable seating 3) outside table should be screened off so meals and games could be alot more enjoyable?4) bedrooms downstairs with seperate entances weren't ideal if you have small children

Amazing snorkeling, great house with hot showers, a functional kitchen, comfortable beds and the best view in the world. The people are amazing: Trish is always organized and helpful, Ronald will take you on snorkeling excursions and Melvin delivers the catch of the day right to your deck. Octopuses, rays, squid, crabs, Angel fish, parrot fish, spotted drum, seahorses, and even a turtle within a15 minute swim from the dock. On land the hummingbirds keep you entertained. Thanks!

Spending a week at the Coral House in Utila left us in awe. Everything was exactly as advertised, and so much more. How could we possibly describe the atmosphere of peace and wonder of the perfection we found in the entire surroundings. The house itself is beautiful, not overdone, nothing left undone. The beach is kept very clean, the ocean is breathtaking. The nature all around so amazing yet not intrusive.Dave and Trish, the managers, are the perfect couple for the job of guiding and assisting on this vacation. They let us know ahead of time of anything that we may need to be aware of, for example, the no see um bugs. We were informed about them, given ideas as to what to do to prepare ourselves and as a result, these little creatures did not cause us a lot of grief. Dave and Trish were always available during our stay at Coral house if we needed anything at all, they always came up aces in providing for everything we needed. One night, the hydro went out, Trish made a point of calling us to inform us that she had already called the power company to find out what was going on and let us know approx when we should be expecting hydro again. Dave and Trish are very considerate and extremely kind, available yet not in our space.We would highly recommend the Coral House, and yes, we would return, in a heartbeat. Words can honestly not describe the beauty, serenity and aliveness of this little island Utila and the Coral House is the perfect spot to be! Walt, Gis, Michelle, Adam
