The space
A stay at this house offers you the opportunity to experience the history and quiet, peaceful lifestyle that many visitors to Lancaster County only get to appreciate from a distance. This incredible house was built by one of the original settlers who made his living milling wheat in the stone mill next door. We have many old, original documents, deeds, photographs, and stories passed down through the generations of this historic property that will be available in the house for those guests that have interest.

Your stay in this home includes an authentic, Amish-made shoofly pie, Lancaster County Coffee Roasters coffee, luxury linens and towels, s’more ingredients (supplied from September 1st-December 31st), and so much more! For your convenience, firewood is available for purchase on site.

This home is fully equipped to comfortably accommodate up to 10 people. If you are interested in booking for a group larger than 10, please contact the hosts prior to booking with the number of guests. These requests will be approved on a case by case basis.

We are proud to offer this quiet escape just miles from downtown Lancaster. We spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful 1770s stone farmhouse with our extended family — five bedrooms, two spacious kitchens, and plenty of space for all of us to spread out comfortably. For Thanksgiving dinner, we cooked together using the fully equipped kitchens, and there was more than enough room at the big dining table for everyone. The combination of history, peaceful farmland views, and cozy comforts made this place feel like a “home away from home.”

The house and property is beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed are stay. Beds were very comfortable and the host thought of everything from a well-stocked kitchen to delicious moon pies, shoofly pie, and fresh eggs awaiting our arrival. There are lots of hiking trails nearby and Lancaster is only a short drive away, but there’s barely a reason to leave the property!

Check in was easy. A couple items were already broken in the kitchen - spatula, water glass, and whisk.

This property is exactly as the pictures show. Absolutely beautiful. Host is very very responsive and super quick to help. Not at all overbearing. Stayed an entire week and loved every minute. Had 6 adults and an 11 year old. Relatively close to all attractions but out of the way and quiet. Love the chickens!!
