About this villa rental
Casa Cielo is a private villa located on Long Point Peninsula in the 'less traveled' East End of St. John. This ridgeline location offers 270 degree views from 2,000 square feet of decks, patios and lanais. Coral Bay, where you will find restaurants and shopping, is a 15 minute drive thru the National Park’s Hurricane Hole. Casa Cielo is a spacious, well-appointed, private 4-bedroom luxury villa with breathtaking views of the sea, the animals, the boats, and the beaches that make the East End of St. John such a unique and relaxing spot. Enjoy your morning's first cup of coffee on the expansive lower patio, watching sea turtles come up for air in the crystal blue waters of Hansen Bay. Catch sight of dolphins and sometimes even migrating whales as you lounge by the large in-ground pool or soak in the spa. Each of the Villa's 4 bedrooms have a luxurious queen size bed, seating area, full bath, large closet, ceiling fan, AC and outdoor patio. One bedroom has a kitchenette, a covered lanai and an outdoor shower. The primary bedroom suite may be reserved for parties of 7-8 guests or for an added fee. The great room is outfitted with a 4K Smart HDTV, shelves full of board games and books, and comfy seating for all. A fully equipped kitchen makes preparing and serving meals easy . This was one of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed in! The house was clean upon arrival, had everything we needed from cooking supplies to towels and was comfortable throughout our stay. The views from everywhere are spectacular and it is so quiet there. The host Athena is the sweetest lady and was extremely helpful with questions we had before arriving. If we ever make it back to St. John would love to stay here again!

The house is beautiful. The outdoor area is as large as the indoor spaces. It is unbelievably quiet, which was a delight since we live in a major metro area and almost never have just peaceful nature sounds to listen to. The breeze through the main part of the house was amazing. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. It is on the far end of the island, but we liked the quieter and slower pace (and no need for dinner reservations!) on the East End. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time on STJ with this as our home base. Athena was very helpful and even went above and beyond to get us an important item left behind.

Gorgeous views from outdoor areas, especially pool, I have limited characters for the review so I will focus mostly on negatives.The views didn't make up for lacking areas of the villa at this price point.Kitchen was large and easy to cook in.Beds were comfortable and a/c was great. The negatives: expectations for this $$$: wash/dry, furnishings in good condition, etc.Patio dining set is gorgeous, high end as are some of the chairs located on the lower patio.But several chairs around the pool had faded ripped cushions, one chair was broken and would practically tip over if you leaned back in it.One umbrella was broken and had large rips so could not be used.The other was very faded and ready to tear. Bathrooms have rusted hardware and everything is old/dated/worn. Toilet seat looked to be 20 years old w/yellowing all over it and one showerhead had about 70% of holes no H20 coming out. Ledge in shower was old, rotting wood. No window coverings; so bedrooms were visible to anyone, especially coming down the stairs. Owner had notes for using A/C wisely, but 2 bedrooms have slatted wooden doors so outside air comes in. No working icemaker; fridge took about 6 hours to make ice - we bought bags. Lots of small broken appliances that should be replaced or taken out. No large stock pot and almost all cookware needs replacing. Hot tub jets don't work. Bedroom/baths are what I would expect in a low end villa. For this $, w/d should be available for guest use, not just owner .
