About this cottage rental
Charming Maine waterfront cottage community. Loads of activities nearby ie. Funtown, USA; waterpark, OOB Amusement park, York Wildlife/Amusement Park; Kittery and Freeport outlets, Maine Mall shopping plaza and the Portland Waterfront and Old Port. Within 1/2 mile from Ferry Beach State Park. Heated community pool shared by only 8 other cottages right outside your door. Beautifully maintained grounds. (Saturday to Saturday bookings July/August).

We love this cottag. So close to the beach and the oil out the front door. I was disappointed in the communication though. I messaged the owners a day or so beforehand with a couple questions, and have never gotten a response as of yet. I then messaged while we were there and still haven’t gotten a response. We were really looking forward to biking. Didn’t see any so ended up having to rent them- very disappointed. And FYI. There are 2 beach chairs

The cottage was cute. Kitchen was well appointed with dishes and cookware. The neighbors were all kind- mainly owners & their families which was nice. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. The pool and the view could not be beaten. 3 AC’s helped combat the heatwave and kept the cottage plenty cool. Twin Beds and couch had been updated since photos- now a bunkbed twin which the kids were excited about. Only recommendations would be better seating in the living room (we just supplemented with a camping chair), but movie night really only allowed for 2 adults and a small kiddo on the couch. Better quality linens/pillows in the primary bedroom. Also, may not be the best choice if you have a dog allergy- dark clothes were covered in white hairs- that said, we are dog lovers so this didn’t bother us too much- just something to be aware of. To be clear, any evidence of dog hair was NOT obvious within the home- just clothes like black leggings/dress that attract it. The cottage itself was quite clean. This was a great little cottage in a great location. We’ve been staying in the area for 40 years and the kids wanted a pool this year so we opted away from a beach house in Camp Ellis/Ferry Beach area and this was perfect. I actually think the bedrooms were even a little bigger than they looked in the photos which was great. And the sunsets- incredible every night!
