Sound front cottage with no steps

The view from the living room picture window is a gorgeous view of the sound; there is a bench you can sit and watch the seabirds right outside the house. It is a short walk of only .16 mile to walk to the ocean down Darden, and this includes walking to the top of the ramp over the sand dune. We found the streets in the area to be friendly for walking with relatively smooth roads encouraging us to walk at least twice a day. The screened porch has a wooden table and chairs with cushions perfect for us to play cards. The kitchen was indeed well stocked. I only brought a slotted spoon and my fav 9x12 cutting board with me. We loved that there are no steps: you do have to step into the house over the threshold as with any house. The walk in shower stalls are a good size inside the house plus an outside shower to get your sand off. I wish I could rate this beach house higher than 5 stars.

This was our 3rd time staying here! We love that it has access to the sound and that the beach is a quick walk across the street. One level is a game changer for any one with mobility issues or even if you just want to make your life easy with packing and unpacking. The cottage itself is well stocked and the view is amazing.

This was a perfect spot for some needed R&R. I was able to fish and read a book and just chill out while overlooking the Topsail sound. The owner’s communication was superb and the check-in and check-out instructions were super easy. All possible resources that you may need were available and I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice place to stay with breathtaking sunsets.
