Everything about La Palombara was exceptional. The owners Giovanna and Andrea were very attentive, always responsive, and looked after us during our stay. Breakfast was exceptional and freshly prepared from fresh local ingredients. Some pastries were homemade and were delicious. While traveling to cliffside properties like this is challenging, her husband helped provide transportation to make traveling seamless. The views of the sea and Mt Vesuvius were breathtaking. The location was excellent to disconnect. We loved everything about this place and we thank them for a more certainly wonderful stay!

Joanna & Andrea are the owners and managers. They catered to us like our personal chef, driver, housekeeper-they were wonderful! Andrea makes an omelette for your breakfast with cakes fruit and ham and cheese with croissants and more. The view is amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot tube available. You really feel cared for while you're there.
The driveway is too narrow to drive to the resort but Andrea small fiat rides you back and forth to town where your car is parked. Town feels friendly and safe.

We had such an amazing stay at La Palombara. Thanks in large part to the hospitality of our hosts, Giovanna and Andrea. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were delicious, complete with fresh eggs and fruit from the property, Giovanna's sweet treats, and home-made jams. The packaged breakfasts on the days we had early starts were also pretty special. The shuttle service to the village was very convenient. Oh, and I forgot to mention the views over the Bay of Naples and the most spectacular sunsets.
Nothing, really. I would point out that there are quite a number of stairs to navigate, which would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. The rooms could use an electric kettle.

Giovanna ist die Gastgeberin. Andrea, ihr Mann, unterstützt sie bei allen Dingen und ist vor allem für die Shuttle-Fahrten. Giovanna liest einem buchstäblich alle Wünsche von den Augen ab! Das Frühstück gibt es in einem kleinen Pavillon mit phantastischem Blick über den Golf von Neapel und den Vesuv. Der befindet sich faktisch genau gegenüber. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, sehr individuell und italienisch. Der Garten ist super gepflegt. Das Haus hat u.E. insgesamt 4 Gästezimmer. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer direkt nebeneinander in der 1. Etage, die über eine schmale Terrasse miteinander verbunden waren. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Mit der Klimaanlage kann man auch heizen. Besonders zu loben ist die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und die sehr festen Matratzen. Ich hatte keine Rückenprobleme. Das man sich im Bett eine Decke teilen muss, ist üblich, damit muss man sich arrangieren ;-) Wichtig: Das Haus ist mit einem "normalen" Auto nicht erreichbar. Das Auto bleibt im Parkhaus in der Stadt. Die Gäste werden mit Gepäck am Parkhaus abgeholt und zum Haus gefahren. Giovanna stimmt die Abholung über Telefon/WhatsApp ab. Dieser "Service" kann auch bei anderen Gelegenheiten in Anspruch genommen werden. Es sind ca. 1 km vom Parkhaus im Ort oder dem Bahnhof Vivo Equense bis zum Haus. Der Weg ist beleuchtet und fast eben. Nur ein kleiner steiler Anstieg zum Beginn. Aber für Mobilitätseingeschränkte empfehlen wir die Unterkunft nicht, denn auch um zum Haus zu gelangen, muss man noch einige Stufen und schmale Pfade bewältigen. Auch zwischen den Zimmern und dem Garten gibt es eine Treppe. Dafür entschädigt ein traumhafter Blick, der Duft von Orangen und Zitronen sowie die Gewissheit, hier viel besser Ferien erleben zu dürfen, als in einem Hotel in der Stadt. Ruhe ist relativ, denn etwa 50 m unter dem Haus verläuft die Küstenstraße. Aber wo in Italien gibt es keine Unterkunft mit Mopeds außerhalb der Hörweite???
Wir können nichts negatives schreiben. So wie es ist, ist alles in Ordnung.
