About this cabin rental

Get away for a relaxing holiday in this tree top cabin located at 3400' in the Smoky Mountains. This lovely cozy hideaway is located in Cruso, NC. Only 12 minutes from the Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 miles from Waynesville, NC and 35 minutes from Asheville, NC and the Biltmore Estate. Springdale Golf Club is 1 mile away. Nearby natural attractions include Pisgah National Forest, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls and the Cradle of Forestry.

2 Bedrooms, one bath, living room and full kitchen are included in our Cozy cabin! Located on a gravel road off of Highway 276 we are close to everything fun in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Walking Sticks, binoculars, visitor guides, books, family games, Direct TV service, Viasat Wireless Internet as of July 1st 2019 and dvds are all provided for our guests use! Wraparound deck, rocking chairs, gas grill, hammock and firepit provided.

Our vacation was absolutely perfect and it’s mainly because of the amazing place we stayed in! At first from the pictures I was expecting a place with a little more age to it, but once we got there and saw it in person we were shocked. It’s cozy and comfortable and all around an amazing place. If we decide to go back to the same location we will definitely be staying here again!

The cabin was quaint and cozy. It was clean in the general sense of the word but could use a good overall deep cleaning. All in all it was satisfactory. Checking in and out was easy. The road up was steep but navigable. I definitely wouldn’t want to come up it at night though. The area is a good 30 minute drive from any restaurants so plan accordingly if you don’t want to be driving up that road in the dark. I can’t wait to see the planned updates!

We were very pleased and felt at home immediately with this cute cabin on yue top of a mountain. Not only the kitchen being complete with staples but things like hiking gear, picnic basket, binoculars, walking sticks, rain gear, back porch barbecue, hammock, hose, fans, games, videos & previous guests bathing supplies. Even the towels were better than good hotel towels. We will be back and tell out friends!

You can tell Stephanie is an excellent homemaker. This property has practically everything you could think of packed into one small package, making it very easy to live in. Sure, it’s a small cabin but cute as a button and we slept the best here so the beds, pillows, and linens were obviously perfect and with the windows open at night, the night critter sounds lulled us to sleep. No car noise there on the mountain! The pans, knives, and other utensils were top notch, and lots of ice cubes were waiting for our celebratory welcome beverage. I would recommend that the living room layout be rearranged for better TV viewing, maybe over the fireplace, but we didn’t spend much time watching TV. We stayed for 7 nights and would smile when we arrived at Lil Red after a busy day looking for homes in the area. Stephanie was very responsive when we had some questions and willing to make any arrangements we requested. Although the view from the property is only of woods, you can easily walk to some spectacular views.

So good I didn’t want to leave!

Mine was an extended visit in order to see family, enjoy the environment, escape the Florida heat and complete some research. The cabin was an excellent solution. It was a perfect getaway for me and my big fur baby. Stephanie, John and Misty were wonderful and ready to lend a hand if I needed anything. They were kind and gracious as were my neighbors on the mountain. I was truly sad when I had to leave and hope to get back there some day soon. I would highly recommend this lovely setting and must also mention that it is the perfect location to get to Asheville or Brevard for entertainment as well as the forest and the Parkway for hiking or scenic drives. Thank you Stephanie for making my stay so memorable. Alice

I’m in love!! I absolutely loved it there and will be back. The cabin was adorable. The view and surrounding forest breathtaking. The owner was fabulous. I went for some peace and to reconnect with nature. Was more than I’d hoped for. The birds greeted me in the morning. No one was around which was perfect. I felt very safe and at home there. I had a wonderful time in this cabin! It was so perfect for me and my fur baby. The cabin was so charming and snuggly. Stephanie was amazing and was quick to reply. She even helped me with a backup plan just in case I had to cancel due to Hurricane Florence approaching (so thankful I didn’t haven to cancel). The cabin’s location was perfect in my opinion. There were cute mountain towns just minutes away, depending on which direction you wanted to go. I am already planning my next trip! LOVED IT!

Our "Cozy Cabin" was an A+. Decorations had a mountain theme and well appointed. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking. Private view and fresh air without humidity! Stephanie Young, owner, was very helpful and checked often to see if we needed anything. However, the road to the cabin was a challenge if not accustomed to mountain driving.

The cabin itself is very cozy and comfortable with everything you need right there. From games, to movies, to dishes, linens and advice on places to visit. It is in a great location that gives you a secluded feeling but is still close enough to town that you are not inconvienced. The owner was very sweet and even checked in on us during our stay. We loved it and would certainly stay again.

Cottage nice enough. Heating system did not heat living area properly. The next morning I finished heating the area with the range oven. I placed a telephone call to the owner. This call was never returned.

Wonderful stay

Cabin has great location. Halfway between Waynesville and Blue Ridge Parkway, and easy access to Asheville. Plenty of privacy tucked away in the woods. Excellent bird watching. Access road from Hwy. 276 is somewhat steep, so care must be taken driving, especially at night. Cabin has all the comforts of home, and owner was very helpful. Would recommend for a couple, or a couple with one child. The two bedrooms are snug, but comfy.
