Watch picturesque sunsets from our post-modern, shingle-style, 4500 sq. foot house with a wrap-around deck on Sebascodegan Island - Casco Bay on a private peninsula with water on all three sides. The property has paths for exploring, gardens, 2,000 feet of shoreline and a dock.
This warm, secluded, and enchanting country home with breathtaking views from every window will make you think you’ve just stepped into a Currier and Ives painting. There are many nearby activities to enjoy such as water skiing, and boating, or you can fish right from the dock. A twenty minute drive will take you to the historic town of Brunswick.
The post-modern, shingle-style, 4100 square-foot house is located on Sebascodegan Island in Casco Bay on the coast of Maine. The property is situated on a totally private, secluded peninsula within the Cundy's Point Association on five-plus acres, with 2000 feet of shoreline. The house is within 50 feet of the water on all three sides. There is a private dock (tidal) which will accommodate a boat of up to 40' and a mooring is provided. To the West are open views of Quahog and Casco bays, Big Hen, Birch Island, and Yarmouth Island. To the East is Ridley Cove and the picturesque fishing village of Cundys Harbor. The International Jet Port is just 50 minutes away.
The sunrises and sunsets from this location are magnificent. There are several paths from the house through the extensive natural landscaping, perennial beds and cutting, vegetable, and herb gardens, which add charm and color all year long. The gardens extend to the sea banks; they are professionally kept and contain peonies, old-fashioned beach roses, lilacs, Asiatic lilies, dahlias, blueberries, wildflowers, lupines, rhododendrons, bayberry, hydrangeas, and foxglove.
The Living Room faces the water with direct access to the wrap-around deck through three sets of French doors and a staircase to the back gardens and deep water channel. The Living Room also has a wood burning fireplace! Directly behind the Family Room is a large, screened porch for waterfront dining and boat watching.
Upstairs there are four large bedrooms and two guest baths. There is one king-sized bed, two queen beds, two queen pull-out beds, and two twin beds. The fifth bedroom connects to the master suite via pocket doors, shares the master bath, and features a queen sleeper sofa.
The gym is currently under construction.
The property also has a dock for tying up your boat or swimming.

There is a cleaning fee of $350 per 7 night stay.
Two week rental tenants are responsible for a mid-stay cleaning of $350.
No additional fees for pets at this time.

Our family had a wonderful week-long stay at Rick's place. The beautiful location paired with the home's charming decor was a winning combination. Though we experienced some warm days, the windows were functional and opened to welcome the constant breeze. We have never stayed in a place so well-stocked with everything we might possibly need (especially in the kitchen!). Rick was responsive and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We highly recommend staying at his place - you won't want to leave!

Our stay at Oakey Point could not have been better. The house is spacious, welcoming, and lovingly decorated. Our every need was thoughtfully provided for by Rick who is a gracious and responsive host. The property is breathtaking, and we took full advantage of the water, both being out in the canoe and paddleboards and also enjoying it from the beautiful patio and screened porch. The kitchen is a dream, and with its view of the cove, meal prep and clean up still felt like vacation!We loved getting to know Cundys Harbor and exploring everything beautiful and delicious that greater Harpswell had to offer. The location also places you within an easy drive to Portland, Bath, Camden and many other lovely towns. Our time there was idyllic and will remain a happy and treasured memory for us all.
