Modernly decorated apartment with a PlayStation 3 and games — a nice surprise, even though we didn’t have time to use them. It’s located on the third floor, but there is a lift available. There are good local bread and meat shops nearby. Overall, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

The main downside was the strong sulphur or rotten egg smell coming from the bathroom sewage, which was also noticeable in the stairway. Although the apartment itself appears recently renovated, the sewage system clearly has not been updated. Another disappointment was the host’s inflexibility. We were unable to check in early — and 15:00 already feels somewhat late — and late check-out was only granted after I pointed out that it was listed as a benefit for this apartment on Booking. Communication remained polite throughout, but there was little willingness to accommodate requests. The toilet and bidet were quite small, the door handle fell off, and the breakfast was very basic, consisting mainly of supermarket croissants and madeleines. I also felt uncomfortable having to provide our documents, photos, and payment details through a third-party platform called Vikey, which I had never heard of before. This was the first time I encountered such a check-in process through Booking, and it made the experience feel less reassuring.
