A charming cottage located in the heart of Shem Creek just over the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms each with queen size beds and one bathroom. Living area opens into the kitchen with a dining table for four and coastal chic decor. Enjoy the spacious yard while dining al fresco or walk to one of the great restaurants near by. Located a block from the waters of Shem Creek and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards right at the waters edge. In a 4 block radius there are 18 restaurants and bars, 2 coffee shops, a beverage super store, a farmers market, and 2 antique malls. The heart of downtown Charleston is a 12 minute drive and the beach at Sullivan's Island is 3 miles away. The Historic district of the Old Village is walking distance and offers many beautiful antebellum homes, several nice shops and a first class restaurant. Cute little cottage, conveniently located! We enjoyed our stay - do wish there was more grass on the property for the pup, since it is asked to not allow dogs to urinate on the grass inside the fenced yard.

This was a wonderful property in an awesome location. A hidden gem steps from Shem Creek, with close access to all the restaurants and bars. The host was super nice and even mailed me items that I left behind.

The house was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of many restaurants, which was nice. The home itself was old, but everything was in working order. The one bathroom was teeny tiny. The fenced in yard was why we ultimately chose to rent this property. However, upon arrival we learned we had to share the yard with another rental property and that dogs were not allowed to urinate on the grass. This meant instead of being able to just let our dogs out to do their business, we had to put them on leash, make sure the other renters on the property were not in the yard, and then walk the dogs to the courtyard area of the fenced yard so they could do their business on the wood chips. We stayed for over a week, and so did the other renters on the property, so this became pretty inconvenient. If we had known we would be sharing a common space with others in a fenced in yard that the dogs were not able to roam free in then we likely would have chosen another property for our stay.
