About this house rental
This beautiful and charming home has just been lovingly refurbished by me this summer, 2016 – so everything is new and welcoming. There is plenty of room for up to 8 guests, including a master bedroom on the main floor and 3 bedrooms on the second floor.
The Space and the Place
This house is located on the ONLY private beach in the city of Marquette with phenomenal views of Lake Superior and Presque Isle Park. This home has private beach access; and huge windows that showcase the Lake Superior vistas. Step down a few steps to the sands of Lake Superior. Long walks, jogs, paddle boarding, swimming, kayaking, surfing, rock hunting, castle building and more are all at your door.
Even better, we’re conveniently located to everything that there is to see and do in the ‘Capital City’ of the Upper Peninsula - Marquette, Michigan. In the summer, there’s world-class mountain biking, hiking, boating and “sweet water” paddling on Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world. In the winter, multiple feet of snowfall make for great Nordic and Alpine skiing. In town, there’s a vibrant foodie scene with elegant restaurants, gastro pubs, coffee roasters and microbreweries.
Inside the House
Nearly the entire front of this lovely beachfront house is glass. Open the doors and let the Lake Superior breezes and waves become part of your vacation. Listen to the surf at night as you cozy up in comfort.
The living area has a fireplace, flat-screen TV and comfy new furniture. Gather the family ‘round in the evenings for movies, board games or to share your day’s collection of memories.
New appliances add ease and functionality to an already charming, bright and updated kitchen. There is a master bedroom with a king bed on the first floor; and a full bathroom on the main floor features a vanity sink and (shower/tub). Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a second full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen size bed featuring a comfy oversized chair ; the other 2 ‘bunk rooms’ have twin tops and full bottoms. All the bedrooms are furnished with lamps featuring USB charger ports. This is the perfect venue for either a professional or a family getaway.
This house was renovated in the fall of 2016, including all new furniture, mattresses, pillows, liens, cellular blinds, appliances, light fixtures & new paint. You will find an open kitchen fully furnished to meet all your cooking & dining needs. The living room offers amazing views of Lake Superior with access to the deck featuring a double grill with a walkway to the private beach in your backyard.

Tera was a fantastic host—communicative, helpful, and full of great tips to make sure we didn’t miss the northern lights. The property itself was breathtaking, with unbeatable beach access and stunning views. The house was beautifully updated, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities we could need. We’d love to stay here again on our next trip to Marquette. Highly recommend!

Great location right on the beach! Property was all that was advertised. We loved being able to step out our door right onto a private beach. Tera was a very responsive host, and we'd highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful well-maintained house right on the shore of Lake Supeior. They house was vey clean and stocked with all the amenities of home. The house is very comfortable and offers great views of the lake and Presque Isle. Plenty of great hiking and good restaurants in Marquette. I would recommend this property to anyone!
