Welcome to the Beaver Pond Lodge, a magnificent mountain cabin that offers everything you could want for your ideal getaway. With its breathtaking views of the pond and surrounding mountains this lodge is a perfect escape. Situated just 1 mile from Durango Mountain Ski Resort, it provides a tranquil and serene setting while still being conveniently close to the resort's attractions. As you step inside, you ll find an open living and dining area seamlessly connected to a dream kitchen equipped with new appliances and ample space. The cozy living room boasts large picture windows, perfect for lounging by the fire and taking in the stunning view. One of the couches also doubles as a sofa sleeper, offering additional sleeping options. The dining area accommodates 8 people, with additional bar seating for 4. On the main floor, you ll discover the master suite, featuring a king bed, picturesque views, and its own private bathroom. Another bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath are also located on this floor. Venture upstairs to the loft where you ll encounter a large flat-panel TV and comfortable couches, creating an ideal space for movie nights. Two more bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a shared bath are found on this floor, along with an additional sofa sleeper in the loft for extra sleeping accommodations. Off the garage is the bonus room with two twin bunks, and a ping pong table and TV. Relax in one of the numerous Adirondack chairs out front and take in the serene pond. You might even catch a glimpse of a beaver diligently working on its home! The Cabin was nice. I was expecting the pond to be big enough to take the kayak out on, but wasn't. Found a big cockroach under my wife's pillow, not sure how it got there, but was definitely a cockroach. The fire alarms started chirping during the day, so we disabled a couple of them to get them to stop and let the owners know, but no follow up. No garage door opener or code so we had to go into the garage to push the opener. Overall the place was nice and location was good, very close to Purgatory.
