• Marvelous 20 ft double doorway designed by the wrought iron artist of Altos de Chavon, Jose Ignacio, which depicts in 14 copper panels, the histories of Hispaniola, the town of La Romana, and the owning family.
• FIRST FLOOR:
o Air-conditioned Dining room for 12
o Family room with Smart TV , WIFI and SONOS entertaining system
o Casual bar and reading area
o Two ample living areas
o Modern kitchen with work island and all the amenities (even a coffee-pod machine!)
o Powder room for visitors´ use
o One bedroom with ensuite bathroom and full closet area

Our stay at Villa del Portal in Casa de Campo was absolutely exceptional. Jeanette, our host, went above and beyond—helping us with everything from transportation and groceries to meal planning, extra golf carts, and linking us with the hotel concierge. Her communication was outstanding, and she even met us at the end of our visit. The in-house cook and housekeeper were fantastic—punctual, attentive, and they went above and beyond to make excellent meals and care for us. The property was perfect for our four separate groups, each having their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy. The grounds were immaculate, with a fantastic pool and a beautiful backdrop onto the golf course. The villa’s central location gave us easy access to golf, the beach, and all the amenities. We would return in a heartbeat!

Jeanette was an outstanding hostess—attentive, professional, and helpful with everything from golf cart rentals to dining reservations. The property was immaculate and beautifully maintained, offering a comfortable and well-appointed setting. Communication was seamless, and the accommodations were exactly as described.

We booked with Jeannette after a nightmare experience with another owner/property manager where they completely went dark and were unresponsive until three days before we were supposed to arrive...only to cancel our reservation due to damage to their house from previous guests. Needless to say, I was scrambling to find another house - we have three little kids and had booked expensive flights. Jeannette was the most accommodating, helpful, and kind partner. She not only responded to my requests within minutes, she also worked long and late to book reservations, buy groceries for us, and arrange transportation. She made us feel at ease after a very unsettling experience. The house was great - the rooms were big and great for large families. The staff was very friendly although I will say you need to know some Spanish as it would have been very hard to communicate without.The pool was fantastic and grounds were beautiful. The location of the house was ideal - closer to the beach than the marina which was great because for kids - the beach is the place to be. The hotel pool was fine - more of an adult scene but totally kid friendly if you're kids are self sufficient and are happy playing in the water. Overall - our stay was great. The house was lovely and the owner was definitely a highlight. Bring lots of cash - small bills. Tips are given to everyone and expected. Also - we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. A lot of the windows didn't have screens - which I'm sure is a not a big deal to the locals, but for those used to screens - wear bug spray!!
