About this house rental
Cottages by the Ocean is a small, well-kept property of charming Key West-style studio and one-bedroom cottages. They are in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of the walkable beach area. It's less than two blocks to the beach and a short walk to the city's spectacular new oceanfront promenade, new fishing pier, dive boats and dozens of shops and restaurants. This historic complex comprised Pompano's first resort cottages when the rest of the beach area was still pineapple fields. The property is a multiple White Glove award-winner by the Superior Small Lodging Association.
This restored 1940s King Studio cottage has a small, well-equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster (no dishwasher), king bed plus a sleeper sofa in living area, flat-screen TV, vaulted ceilings, dining area that seats four, small bathroom with shower (no tub) and a vanity area outside the bathroom with hairdryer. Before the double French door entry is a large, screened-in porch with tropical garden views, white wicker furniture including dining table that seats four and George Foreman electric grill for your exclusive use. Additional after-beach shower at back door. Includes free wi-fi, free parking, no resort fees, flat-screen cable TV, books, family games, linens, iron/board, cleaning tools, beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, A/C, heat, one free parking space per unit in off-street parking in front of property.
For the comfort of future guests, no smoking is allowed inside the Cottages, but you may smoke on your private porch. Small dogs under 20 pounds - inquire/pet fee.

Elaine and Mark were very helpful with the check-in process and making sure someone was at the site during check-in, to answer any questions, as well as being so very flexible with other requests. The cottage was immaculate, and there were resources listed and available for any and all needs, from local dining options to recreation suggestions and activities. Communication was excellent, throughout. Would absolutely recommend to all my family and friends!

My husband gave me a winter beach trip for Christmas! So...the end of February my best friend and I drove down from Atlanta for a week of cycling and beaching. Elaine met us the afternoon of our arrival and provided us with information about adventuring in the area. Our favorite adventure was a 31mile bike ride through the Everglades National Park-saw over 50 gators up close! We enjoyed walking over the bridge to eat at the Foundry and Phil’s Heavenly Pizza. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

We really enjoyed these cute and classic Florida cottages. Beach is right there in walking distance as well as outdoor dining and many fun things. Elaine is great and very organized. I would recommend this property.

It was absolutely perfect. The cottage sits very close to the beach and lots of good restaurants. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We definitely would stay again. Thank you for making our vacation wonderful!
