About this house rental

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this authentically restored antique farmhouse and 1/2 acre farm puts out a whole crop of Saturdays! It is a joy and it's everything you'd hope for - restful, refreshing, comfortable, and welcoming. Enjoy lush gardens and lots of privacy. There is a wonderful wooden swing and a double-wide cotton hammock for relaxing. "Saturday Farm" is a beautiful home and is personally looked after.
Sea View Park is just 1/3 mile away. It includes Sea View Beach, walking trails, a children's play area and gardens. It is just 1/2 mile to 2 other beaches - Belmont and Sea Street Beach and just a little further to many more beaches. The Harwich Conservation Land is just over 1/2 mile away; here there are hundreds of acres of bike trails, lakes, rivers and ponds and cranberry bogs.

Our lovable sheep are right next door and love to graze; they are our quiet lawnmowers. They are very child friendly. We're happy to share them with your family or if you'd be more comfortable if we did not let them graze while you are there, we are okay with that too.

We will prepare the house beautifully for your arrival and provide the key to your own private Cape Cod week of Saturdays. You will not be working with a management company - only the owners (Cindy and Harry). Your enjoyment and comfort is what we are working toward.

Light, roomy and relaxing, the living room, sun room and den provide several seating areas and an extensive library of books, movies, and board games. You can enjoy sunning or reading outside on one of the many Adirondack chairs where there are fragrant flowers in the front yard and backyard gardens. Outdoor games are available and a picnic table is in place for a great family picnic.

This house continues to be an inspiration for artists and photographers... perfect for family gatherings.
Here is what other guests have said:

'Everywhere I have spent time in this extraordinary home I have made discoveries. Warm, comfortable, beautiful, soulful, artistic are words that come to mind. The Baa Boy bells, softest sheets, inspiration everywhere. Oh my, what a wonderful week of Saturdays. No doubt the vibrations will continue to resonate long after this week. Thank you both for creating your lives and sharing.' Lee-Ann from Virginia, July

'Saturday Farm was everything we anticipated and more. The house was a joy to be in with all the wonderful art, books, and lovingly furnished rooms. Our meals around the dining room table are now fond memories that we will carry forever - especially 'Lobster Night'.
Thank you for a perfect Cape Cod experience.' Molly, California. May

'We have had such a wonderful time here. We love all the small attention to detail both in all of the rooms as well as the gardens. The outdoor spaces are articulated so nicely - we really appreciated and used all of them. Usually as a family, when we have an occasion to celebrate we come to the Cape. This has been the BEST house we have ever had here. It helped so much to make our mom's 85th birthday a big success. A joyful time! The fire pit was great addition. The kitchen worked great for this many people and when we could eat outside we all fit nicely at the picnic tables. You are very thoughtful in everything and it did not go unnoticed on us. Oh, yes the sun room was a very comfortable gathering place. The outdoor shower was a real hit, especially the birds nest in the rose vine. This was great proximity to many things - bike trails, beaches, morning runs and walks, go-carts miniature golf, etc. It certainly was a home away from home!' Texas

'Dear Cindy and Harry,

'I enjoyed the beautiful house and the front and backyard. I loved the fact that you have a beach close to the house. I really loved the bedrooms and everything in the house.' Luciana, 12 years old

'Thank you for letting us vacation in your wonderful home. Every day was beach weather and we took full advantage. The house rang with laughter and chatter and then, after awhile, napping and sleeping. We had a full international house and they all loved it here.' (August) Zoe, Germany

'Wow! What a spectacular place you have. It makes you remember the good old days when everything was so simple and ever so easy. Thank you for sharing it with us. There were so many moments spent here that will be remembered forever.' Kerry, South Africa

Saturday Farm is charming and idyllic. We’ve stayed there a few times since 2016. The house itself is a welcoming friend! Built by a sea captain in the 1800’s, its history is honored in every room. For those of you who love historic character and Cape Cod architecture, then you’ll feel at home straight away. The furnishings are a mix of antique and locally made new. Everything is of quality and very well done. Cooking on the incredible antique stove is a highlight! The owners, Cindy and Harry, help us with anything during our stay. They are easily accessible as they live on the lane by the farm. They don’t hover, yet they are always nearby if we have questions. Their gentle kindness and welcoming spirits make this special spot in the world more than just an overnight place to sleep. Saturday Farm is a delightful destination. In addition to the impressive historic house, they have created inviting surroundings. The organic herb garden is quite special. Best of all, there are two resident sheep who keep the lawn naturally mowed. They are so charming and add many smiles to my visit. One of the most special things is waking up to a sea breeze coming through the windows (they do have ac, but we don’t use it while we’re there so we can enjoy the fresh Cape Cod air!) while hearing the sheep bells in the back garden. Some of our deepest and most restful sleeps have happened at Saturday Farm. It feels like the most special of Saturdays, every single day, while we are there.

What a delightful place to call home for a week in the summer, or any time. Every bedroom was surprisingly spacious, with a private sitting area near by. The gardens were well kept with an inspiring symphony of colors. And of course the sheep added a whole other dimension to the stay. Our grandchildren had great fun imitating their "Baa." We took full advantage of the attractions near and far. The summer theater, just a short walk down the street was a delight, and a late afternoon at the beach or nature preserve were also in walking distance. Plus most of the Cape's summer "cities" were just a short drive away, along with the not to be missed, National Seashore. You'll enjoy everything about this fabulous find!
