Located in Winamac, IN, this two story house that comfortably sleeps 6 is situated on an acre of property with plenty of deck space for outdoor entertaining as well as large fenced yard for outdoor activities and a hot tub for relaxing. River is accessible via a walkway and set of stairs for fishing, swimming, or floating the Tippecanoe River. There is also a dock that can be used to fish off of or tie up a boat. We are very close to a boat launch also. The property has a very large fenced in backyard. Home has a wheelchair ramp for those with mobility issues as well as a first floor bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful property. The river view porch was the highlight for our family. Getting to enjoy our morning coffee watching the deer cross the river and then the evenings relaxing and seeing the turtles, fish and birds over the river so relaxing. Owner was really responsive and great clean place. Kids loved chasing fireflies in the yard!! Can't wait to stay here again!

This property is beautiful! Our family enjoys kayaking and On the Bend is a great place for those who like to recreate on a great river. The flooding was pretty bad in July but the river level dropped below flood stage and the warnings and restrictions were liftedon.Tuesday. We waited two more daus and got for a few hours on Thursday, the 25th. While we waited we enjoyed the lovely view from.the deck, the hot tub, grilling in the evening, a trip to Melody Drive-In, Indiana Beach, and a trip to South Bend to visit the Studebaker National Museum. It was all lovely!

We had such a wonderful time staying at this location! It was close enough to the local town we could grab a bite to eat or something we might have forgotten but we found we stayed on location for a bulk of our time because it was so relaxing and beautiful! We encountered a barred owl, white tail deer (buck & a doe), many fish, and a bald eagle flew right over us about 20 ft above while we were floating on the river. Plus, the home was clean and comfy! Highly recommend this location!!

What a beautiful home on the Tippecanoe River. Wish we could have enjoyed it more as we were there for a family reunion at the State Park. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rob was a fantastic host and got right back to us with any and all questions and even checked in. We will stay there again! Thank you for a very comfortable weekend.

We had a great time On the Bend celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday. We had 6 adults total, and the property was perfect for our group with plenty of room to give everyone space and lots of activities to enjoy. We fished, swam, floated, gamed, and more! Rob was very helpful and had everything ready for us to have a great stay. We’re definitely interested in a return visit.

We had 5 people for a weekend. Check in was easy and owner called to check on us within first few hours. River was beautiful. The main rooms are much smaller than they appear, but living room is cozy. Very pretty area rug, but huge tripping hazard, we ended up having to roll it up and move it as it has nothing to help it grip the hardwood. Kitchen is tiny but well stocked with dishware, although a few of the cabinets will move on the wall very easily which was worrisome. All upstairs doors were hard to open and close, bathroom door was the hardest, if you lifted up on the handle as hard as you could, it would still scrape harshly against the floor, the noise woke up the whole house. Metal bar on staircase fell out, easily put back and when I checked, none of them are properly secured. Stairs and dock by water are scary to try and step on, very unstable, and gate leading to it can't be closed fully and is bent almost in half, would need to keep close eye on kids in the yard so they don't go past the gate alone. Had a nice time and is such a cute place, but needs some upkeep.

Loved the property. Everything was perfect for a getaway. Equipped with a separate climate control game room so some can stay up late and laugh while others go to bed. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy beautiful sunsets on the river. Great location on the river saw tons of carp, blue gill, and small mouth. Caught my PB small mouth from right off the bank.

This is a beautiful, modernized home with comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Honestly, it had the best kitchen pans/utensils of any place i've stayed. The river is right there with beautiful views of both directions on the bend. the hot tub is clean and functions great, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The pictures don't really do justice for how nice the property is. Check-in was a breeze, and the expectations for check-out were not terrible. Would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed just sitting and watching the River. Very peaceful. Rural yet grocery store and restaurants close by. Was a perfect spot to stay for my son's graduation from Purdue. W Lafayette books early and Indy is yuck. Only an easy hour away from school and ceremonies. Definitely would recommend!

The property was very cozy, and although we did not spend a great deal of time in the home, we did enjoy the porch overlooking the river. If you are looking for that away from everything feeling by still being close to a town with available provisions, this home is a great choice.

I stayed at this house with my husband and two teenagers- 17 and 14. There was plenty of space inside and lots of outdoor space! The hot tub was wonderful and everyone enjoyed playing games in the game room that was loaded with fun board games. I would definitely stay here again when stopping thru from Minnesota to Ohio!

This was the perfect little escape for our family! Our kids are getting older and will be getting married and moving on soon. Family time is important to us, and this was the perfect place to just “be”. Fishing, hot tub, late night games in the game room, yard games, etc… we loved every minute. Priceless time spent with our kids. Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed and communication with the host was extremely easy. We spent one day at Indiana Beach, which was a short 30 minute drive away. We will be back! We are so glad we found this gem!

We had such a nice time at this cottage. Its very cozy and has a great view of the water. I never know if I bring enough when traveling w small children but this house was stocked w every thing. Kids were so excited to have outside toys to play w plus plenty of inside family games. They were entertained the whole time. We also enjoyed fishing off the dock and the hot tub! The house also has an outside shed/ hangout area which is also a bonus to the house. We definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back next year. The kids didn't want to leave.

The views off both decks are breath taking, and you can even catch a glimpse of a sunset, the river is great for tubbing or kayaking, and doesn’t get very deep. The owner was very responsive to all our messages leading up to our trip and was able to answer all our questions, he even called me the first day to make sure we were okay and finding things okay. The fenced in yard was great, we had two toddlers with us so they were unable to get to the water without an adult which put our minds at ease when we were playing outside. The kitchen is very small, which made cooking with more than one person very hard, But well stocked with almost anything you could need. and the beds were not the most comfortable. But overall we enjoyed our stayed.

This was a very beautiful spacious 3 bedroom home with more sleeping room available as well. The home was very clean and well kept and additional cleaning due to Covid-19 was evident. My family including two teenagers, enjoyed 5 days at Rob and Carrie's home right on the river. This was a perfect house for a vacation to unwind and relax whether it was in the river, the hot tub or playing games. Rob made the check in process simple and seamless and checked in on us throughout. The house had everything you would need for a short or longer stay! Kitchen had all items of a regular kitchen including blender and crockpot, coffee pot is a regular pot, no pods needed. Beds were dreamy comfortable, plenty of room in 2 large bathrooms and for those with little ones there is a large tub in the upstairs bathroom. Multiple outdoor games and fishing poles are available as well, definitely take advantage of these! The height of the river changes, so we started our kids in life jackets just in case, but these were not needed. For those with Tweens/Teens, this house afforded the kids the ability to have some independence as well as time for us as a family. A great in-between! The house was close to local restaurants (Pablanos, Tippy's Pizza, One-Eyed Jacks all are good and I'd suggest Fingerhut as well!), about 30 minutes to Bass Lake for a public clean beach (go during the week, there's no one there!) and has access to State Parks and multiple places to rent canoes, kayaks and tubes. We used Riverside Rentals and were Very Pleased! We can't wait to join Rob and Carrie again at their lovely home in Winimac, On the Bend! This house gets absolutely fantastic marks from this Family! :)

This place was great! The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil under the sun and serving bowls/spoons galore. They have a dishwasher, crockpot, hand mixer, and even a pump pot to keep multiple pots of coffee warm all day. We floated the river twice and dropped in at the Winamac town park the first day. That was about a 6 hour float back to the house. The second day was our kid friendly float and we dropped in at the public site behind Poblano's restaurant down the road a bit. That was about a 45 minute to an hour float. Water shoes are a MUST as there are many rocks and cinder blocks along the way and on the banks. Relaxing at the house was amazing. The fishing is great and there was a set of bags/corn hole and a baby pool for the hot days in the shed. Our stay was just perfect and I will miss the AMAZING shower in the master bath!
