6 BR private cottage, on wooded and secluded 1.5 acres in Union Pier, Michigan, just 90 minutes from Chicago in the heart of Harbor Country. Breezy Lane cottage is across from a private sandy beach on the shore of lake Michigan, modern kitchen including dishwasher, washer/dryer;,six bedrooms, each with private views overlooking the lawn and woods. The cottage has a deck, a sun room, and a new large screened porch. There is plenty of outside furniture and a gas barbeque. The lawn and yard are large enough for group games in one area, play set in another, dining and private outside lounging in yet another, all on beautiful private grounds. Swim, sun and walk for miles on the sand beach, rinse off in the outside shower, enjoy evening bonfires and stargazing. Includes TV, cable, and wireless. Breezy Lane cottage is perfect for groups of friends or family, plenty of space to spend time together or privately for reading, sun bathing, or other peaceful pleasures. Perfect for coping with COVID, so close to Chicago or Detroit.
Located in the heart of Harbor Country, Breezy Lane cottage is just minutes from local restaurants, or visit nearby butcher ships, bakeries, farm stands, and farmers' markets --to create your own feast. Check out the local brews at Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer or local whiskey at the Journeymen in Three Oaks. Hunt for treasures at Harbor Country antique shops, rent bikes, kayaks, canoes for the lake or nearby rivers, enjoy movies or acclaimed local theater in Three Oaks. Our week at Breezy Lane was delightful. It was spacious with plenty of room for our 4 adult children to spread out. We enjoyed the outdoor screened in porch and the large yard for games, as well as the fire pit. It was a short walk to and from the beach, and the access point was right across from the driveway. It had everything we could ask for in a home away from home for a bit.

Communication with the owner was ok. Pros:The accomadations for our family of 14 was adequate. The house was clean, well stocked with TP, pots pans, dishes, soaps and the like. Bed were clean and comfortable. The house was decorated nicely. The screened in porch was a plus- clean with adequate furniture. AC worked properly. Cons:The washrooms had no locks on the doors ( as a family we made do without locks)The front entrance to the house was a mess, so to was the back deck leading to the screeened in porch, which made no sence since the screened in porch was such a nice touch. Honestly for the cost of the 5 day stay, we all felt that the owners could do with a much needed clean up of the front and back yard . Why is the grill on the side of the house that is hardly used? 60 steps going down to the beach area is a bit much for older adults. Overgrown bushes by the parking area as well as around the perimeter of the house made for very poor curb appeal, not anything like the pictures on VRBO. As a whole, we enjoyed our stay but felt for the money the outside should be kep cleaner.

We (13 women in our thirties) had the best weekend here!! The house had everything we needed: perfect number of clean, comfortable bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, an INCREDIBLE location just 3 minutes walking from the beautiful private beach, so many beach towels, a large main area for hanging out, a grill, an outdoor shower (we loved it!!!), the cutest screened in gazebo where we ate meals and a huge yard! It was so clean and nice but still has lots of character and coziness. Peg was very responsive and answered all my questions and check in and out were super easy. Would love to come back and stay for longer!!
