About this house rental
This property is located on the mountain preserve border of South Mountain Park, the largest city park in the world. There are wonderful mountain bike trails right from the property, as well as some of the finest hiking in the Phoenix area. While being only a few minutes from Downtown Phoenix, it is very private and quiet, nestled in a scenic desert mountain bowl with coyote and javelina occasionally visiting the site.
There are multilevel decks facing both toward South Mountain and Downtown Phoenix, providing some of the best panoramic scenery in the Phoenix area. If you are looking for quiet time to catch up on reading, fantastic hiking right from the property, and scenic desert vistas, this is the vacation house for you. Although the road is rough, it is worth the drive
We have good news for those who have stayed with us in the past! wifi is still satellite only, but the speeds have increased tremendously and we have upgraded to the fastest option available.
Just to be perfectly transparent: In the summer months (June, July and August) the water runs warm as the distance it travels underground up the mountain is great. It takes a bit for it to cool down.

The host was great with communication and very informative. The house was nice and the views were absolutely beautiful. We loved sitting on one of the many decks this house has to offer and watch for wildlife. Also several trails nearby.You have everything you need. We did buy food and our own condiments and used the grill that was offered. The only thing was some items of condiments etc available are out dated that the have. A suggestion would be to have a note to guest if something is outdated to toss. We had this in place at another home we stayed at years back. Would love to stay again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home.

We'd give this property a better overall rating had it been clean. It's in need of new, clean furniture and a very thorough cleaning. Other than that we loved the location, the access to hiking, the amazing city view and the desert feel. Owner was friendly and responded quickly to two small issues.
