Vacation at Garver Lake ~ Private Beach For Your Enjoyment!

We had a very nice weekend on the beautiful lake! The host was excellent with communication. The property was a comfortable lake house with a nice deck, fantastic air conditioning, and a nice big table for playing cards.

This place is perfect for anyone who wants to swim and relax! The backyard has the perfect amount of space and beach. We swam with the fish and it would be a perfect spot for fishing!

Overall, our stay was average. The host was friendly, communication before arrival was great, and early check-in was much appreciated. During the stay, communication was slower, and we had to reach out for check-in instructions, checkout instructions, and the WiFi password.The backyard was a bit disappointing compared to expectations. It felt dated and run down, with no real outdoor lighting besides blue bug lights. The grill needed to be reassembled, and cleaning supplies, gloves, paper towels, and rags were left out, making it seem like cleaning may have been rushed or interrupted. Floors did not appear freshly cleaned, and powdered toilet cleaner was still left in the toilets.We were also glad we checked the propane tanks before grilling because both were empty. The host was unaware but did offer complimentary paddle boat use if we filled them, which we appreciated.The listing mentioned two queen beds, but we only found one. The home also had a noticeable mildew smell and damp feeling, and the floors/house were visibly unlevel, which may bother guests sensitive to those things.On a positive note, there were plenty of towels and linens, and the stay was comfortable enough overall. We aren’t picky travelers and didn’t mind tidying things ourselves. We just feel the property could benefit from a little more upkeep, attention to detail, and clearer communication for guests.
