The place overall was nice and accommodating. I do have a few issues that could be easily remedied if the property manager would ever respond to the complaints. It could use a thorough cleaning, new beds, TVs, dryer, and upstairs toilet. Also if you’re expecting to stream anything for your littles - you can not. The TVs are 15+ years old even though the listing states you can. I reached out to the property manager several times with no response. The dryer hardly works and the upstairs toilet clogged once.

The property is away from the road, the listing does say 1 car parking but we fit 3. The cabin was nicely laid out and had nice sized beds. The cabin was dirty. There was mold in the mop and the pullout drawer for the detergent on the washing machine. The carpets could use some love, and the jet tub had dirt and debris inside the jets and around the rim of the bottom of the tub. The hot tub had stuff floating in it. Other than the cleaning and having to leave early due to flooding from Hurricane Helene, it was a nice stay

I really wanted to rate all 5 stars but we had A/C issues when we were there. Which was at the very end of July and so that was a little frustrating with it being so hot. But the cabin….was very cute, spacious and had everything we needed!!!The cabin’s location was very convenient for grocery runs, local attractions, shopping in the area. The kitchen was fully stocked with all you needed to prepare and cook meals there. Plenty of space for families to hang out and just stay in and enjoy. There’s a loft room upstairs with pool table, tv plenty of dvd’s for children and all ages. Our granddaughter really enjoyed the loft in one of the bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed having coffee on the wrap around covered deck in the mornings. And the grandkids really enjoyed the swing set. Such a great place! Bearfoot Retreat will definitely be on our list of cabins to revisit!! We’d love to visit in the fall with all the fall colors and crisp mornings!!

A great place to stay. It was near enough to the attractions with an easy drive. Not as secluded as some but this made it easier for our travels to attractions. Home was neat and clean.

This property was decent. Could have been deep cleaned better. But the simple amenities weren’t there. Like kitchen dish ware was cheap scratched plastic, the dishwasher was broken (did not dry the dishes), the hot tub did not work correctly (property managers tried to fix but it did not work and we were given a discount for this inconvenience) the pots and pans were scoured, mismatched and old. The railing on the loft was loose. The master bathroom bath faucet was broken. With so many cabins and rentals in this area, I don’t think I would choose to stay here again. I would implore the property management company to invest a little more time and attention into updating and fixing the issues at this property to make it more enjoyable, because the house itself and location was very convenient. You can tell it’s owned by a rental company and not an individual. It was decorated for Christmas. But the fireplace was for looks only. No temperature adjustment and didn’t produce heat.

This cabin was perfect for 2 families (8 total). The cabin was in a great location just far enough from the strip but close enough to amenities (15 min from strip) with no crazy steep hills or curves to drive. The property itself was in great condition- the listing and communication with the property manager was not accurate though. Listing says parking for 1 vehicle and when I inquired about parking for another (the cabin sleeps up to 10- there’s no way one vehicle would’ve been logistically possible) and I was told 1 vehicle parking bc there was no garage?? There was no garage on the property but the driveway is long and wide enough for more than 1 vehicle. I was also told there was only a “shared” park style grill for outdoor cooking- but the park grill was in fact not shared with other properties and there was a propane grill available on the porch for use. This is information I would have wanted to know so I felt it important to share. In all this is a great cabin in a great location and we would definitely stay here again!

This cabin was perfect for our family getaway. We had (8) people total with (2) families of 4 staying here. Located just close enough to all the excitement, yet far enough away to be able to enjoy the solitude and peace that the mountains can provide. The next time we are planning a trip to TN, we will try to stay at the Bearfoot Retreat cabin again. To the owners of this cabin, I pray God will continue to Bless you for allowing guests such as my family come and stay in your cabin. Thanks again!

Overall this home is wonderful! It’s a perfect location to local attractions, 10-15 away tops! The only downside is the neighbors are really close, but for the most part are pretty quiet (there were various construction projects happening in the neighborhood while we were there so things were loud at times). So if you’re looking for secluded, this is not it. The house itself was very well maintained and cleaned. It could use a few more kitchen utensils and pans. It would also be a nice gesture to let guests know they need to bring their own spices and trash bags, that was an added expense we were not anticipating. The dishwasher is also missing a wheel, making it super difficult to pull out the bottom rack. The dryer is a little complicated if you’ve never used a condenser dryer, a quick google search sorted it right out. Kids loved the big yard with play set, the hot tub and pool table. The loft bed was also a big hit! I wish we could have enjoyed this home all week! We were unfortunately run out by some yellow jackets and wasps coming in the upstairs window. Staff was great about getting us relocated!

This is our fifth stay at Bearfoot Retreat. On our last stay, we had some concerns and weren’t sure if we would come back. We appreciate you addressing each of our concerns. And, the new walkway and fire pit area was such a nice addition! We love everything about this cabin, and the proximity to all attractions and restaurants is so nice. We will be back!

The location was in a great spot however the mattresses were filthy in particular the pull out bed downstairs. The oven drawer had old food and crumbs all in it making the pans stored in there unusable. The pepper seasoning had old crud lining the rim, all the pans have burnt char all over them! When trying to checkout I received no communication on check out process until I reached out and I didn’t get a response u til it was past check out time.

Overall we had a great trip! It’s close to town, but far enough away that you have quiet. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. The only problem we had was that people were there to do work on the pathway when we got there and we were not given a heads up for that.

The cabin was very nice and beautiful but was only semi private was very disappointed with the noise of the construction going on around us. Noisy and they was burning things that had bad smell. I understand maintenance needs to be done, but not while the guest are there. There was men that came to our cabin and ask if they could stain our steps and build steps on the side of the porch and said they would be there at 9AM the next morning and my husband agreed. The contractor did not show up until 3PM the next day and by this time all my grandchildren was there and we were in the process of cooking out so because they did not come at the time agreed up on we ask that they not do the intended construction at that time. We found this very disturbing that they would want to stain the only steps to enter the cabin. Also we was not able to enjoy the hot tub because there was no privacy especially with all the construction workers around outside . But overall we had a good stay but it was noisy and smelly outside.

Upon arrival everything was to be as expected from the ad. Only hours after arriving, while our 3 children were playing on the play set, a large tree fell right above it. Thankfully they were not injured, we moved just in time. However, they were unable to play on the play set for the remainder of our 7 day trip. We contacted property management and they promised someone would be there to remove the tree the next day. Nobody ever came. Shortly after that, we lost power. We had no power for over 12 hours. I am a real estate agent and rely heavily on internet service/wifi for work. I was unable to make any calls, send out emails or text while I was on the rented property. We had planned on utilizing the grill but were disappointed to find the amount of heavily burnt grill residue inside. We would have happily cleaned it had there been the proper grill utensils provided. What amenities that are provided are OLD and dated. If you plan on renting this cabin BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING.

This was a convenient location for the national park. The house was nice, clean and worked well for us. The fire pit was great. The smoke detectors are very sensitive when cooking and went off when we cooked even without smoke... We would stay again.

The cleanliness of the property was top tier. There were plenty of fresh, clean linens for a couple days and all the appliances worked well. There was an additional bed in the loft space above the second bedroom that my kids loved to climb up to and read their books. The hot tub was nice and heat adjusted well. The playground space is on top of a hill and needed stairs or a ramp to get up to safely. We enjoyed our stay even though the noise level got a bit out of hand with neighbors who are practically on the same lot space. We will be back!

This was our fourth stay at Bearfoot retreat, and the first time we were not completely satisfied. The yard was a mess- I understand trees fall in storms, but it was not a new mess. It looked like this over a year ago, during our last stay. The porch was also very dirty (again, I know you can’t keep up with pollen- but it had not been cleaned for awhile). The house itself was very clean, as always, but there were some maintenance issues that bothered us. The upstairs shower has not been repaired, and has consistently gotten worse since our first stay in 2020. The smoke alarm in the primary bedroom was not in working order, the alarm system for the home has also never worked and the entry code never changes- that’s a safety issue! There were some minor complaints as well: the pool table was missing chalk, and only two usable sticks. The hot tub was only 95 degrees and had an odor, and the mattresses are in desperate need of replacing. It makes us sad to leave a bad review of a home that we’ve loved, but unless some changes are made, we won’t return.

Sinks do t drain. Toilets stopped up Water leaking through the ceiling from the shower Fire alarm goes off the whole time your cooking even though there isn’t any smoke. No chairs for fire pit. 1/2 the lights on the Christmas tree didn’t work. Electric fireplace doesn’t put out heat.

Not too big and not too small. 3 king beds plus the loft was very comfortable. Cleaned very well and the porch was a popular place to sit and relax. (Don’t forget mosquito spray!) We had to call about a leak under the sink and water pressure issues. Hopefully they were fixed pronto.
